Before You Begin: Read This First

This guide does not cover every CD or Thread location, but will mention where and how to find them in general.

The story-related achievements are spoiler-tagged in-game, but are discussed plainly here. You’ve been warned.

Some achievements are earned just by doing side activities in the hubs — don’t skip the little stuff.

This guide was originally written by a player (Juan_StarYT), and this version is restructured for clarity and ease of reading.

Self-Explanatory Achievements

These are mostly earned through natural gameplay or minor challenges:

  • No Turning Back – Finish any level without dying.
  • Idol Power – Complete a level with 120+ music notes collected.
  • Right On Time – Finish a level fast enough to score 100+ points in the Time category.
  • You’re Too Fast / They’re Too Slow – Defeat any boss while Haste (Fast) or Stasis (Slow) is active.
  • Wheels of Time – Jump as much as you can to stall the momentum of the wheel in certain puzzle sections.
  • Perfectionist – Clear a level without getting hit. Tip: Using Stasis allows you to take one hit without it counting, making this easier.
  • Fast Forward – Idol Notes extend your Haste duration. Collect them during Haste mode to hold the effect longer.

Codex Completion & Unlockables

The following achievements are all tied to codex progress and exploration:

  • Pagi
  • Social Butterfly
  • Greatest Hits
  • Full Bestiary
  • Loremaster
  • Meet and Greet
  • Art Aficionado
  • Good Boy
  • A True Profishional
  • Studious

Here’s how to unlock them efficiently:

  • Always fully explore each hub (Time, Nature, Civilization) before entering a level. Talk to every NPC, interact with every object.
    • This nets you Social Butterfly, Meet and Greet, Good Boy, and Pagi.
  • Full Bestiary requires you to defeat every enemy type once. No hidden enemies, so just don’t avoid combat.
  • Greatest Hits asks you to collect every CD and Thread in the game.
    • Proximity triggers a beep sound and collectible counter UI will pop up — use this as a clue.
    • Collecting all CDs and cover arts will also unlock Art Aficionado.
  • A True Profishional is unlocked by catching every unique fish at the fishing spot in Nature’s Hub.
  • Studious is granted by interacting with the bookshelves across the three hubs.

You’ll gradually complete these if you’re thorough and curious.

Hidden or Difficult Achievements

These are a bit more obscure or require more skill:

  • Flower
    • Found by going to the far right of Nature’s Hub and interacting with the lone flower.
  • Treasure Hunter
    • In The Maze (Nature World), use the cardboard box “Friends” to help locate all 16 Parts, then unlock the door.
  • All That Glitters
    • Requires you to collect every Golden Gear in the game.
    • Warning: Not all are inside levels — some are tied to exploration or fishing.
  • Warden of Peace
    • Finish a level without attacking.
    • Galaxy Gourmet is a popular choice since it has few required enemies.
  • Show Off
    • Earn 14,000+ total score across all levels.
    • You’ll need good speed, note collection, and minimal damage taken to hit this target.
  • The Clock Runs Fast
    • Complete every level with a combined mission clear time under 3 hours.
    • Best attempted after finishing everything else, once you’re familiar enough to optimize.

Story Achievements

These will unlock naturally as you progress through the main campaign. Just follow the story and you’ll get them all.

Chrono Gear’s achievement list rewards exploration, perfectionism, and experimentation. If you take the time to engage with the world — not just rush through the levels — you’ll gradually check off every box without too much stress.
