Last Furry Survival Beginner Guide Wiki – SSR Heroes, Quests
If you’ve just jumped into Last Furry: Survival (Ice Haven), it can feel like a lot is happening at once—heroes, base upgrades, alliances, events… all fighting for your attention. The truth is, progression here isn’t about doing everything randomly. It’s about doing the right things at the right time.
This guide breaks it all down in a way that actually helps you play smarter, not harder.
SSR Heroes
Let’s get one thing straight—your heroes are your account.
You can grind buildings all day, but if your hero lineup is weak, you’ll hit a wall fast.
- SSR (Ultra Rare) heroes are your main priority
- You mainly get them from Honor Recruit and events
- Don’t expect Advanced Recruit to carry you—it mostly gives materials
Here’s something many players miss early:
You won’t always pull heroes. Most of the time, you’ll get upgrade materials—and that’s completely fine. Those materials are what actually make your heroes strong.
Pro Tip:
Always use free recruits. Even if you log in for 2 minutes, just do your pulls. It adds up more than you think.
Upgrading Heroes
There are three main ways to upgrade heroes:
- Leveling up
- Skill upgrades
- Star-ups
And honestly? Star-ups are the most underrated.
Leveling uses shared EXP, but star-ups are hero-specific, which means:
Even heroes you’re not using should still be upgraded.
Why?
Because your total force increases globally, not just for your active team.
I learned this the hard way—ignored unused heroes early, and my power lagged behind others who didn’t.
Also, sometimes a hero you ignored suddenly becomes viable after upgrades. So don’t lock yourself into one team too early.
How to Get More SSR Heroes
This game looks pay-to-win at first, but there’s actually a solid free path.
Check how each SSR hero is unlocked:
- Events (like Tundra Dominator)
- VIP chests
- First recharge bonuses
- Limited-time features like Fortune Compass
Most SSR heroes rotate through events, so:
- Keep checking the “Get More” option on locked heroes
- Play events actively
- Don’t skip limited-time modes
If you stay consistent, you’ll slowly build a strong SSR roster without spending.
Expeditions & Auto Battles
Expeditions are your main PvE progression.
Once you hit around level 30, you unlock:
- Auto selection
- Continuous battle mode
This is where things get interesting.
If your power is higher than enemies, you can:
- Turn on continuous battle
- Leave your phone running (charging recommended)
- Progress through multiple stages automatically
It’s not perfect AFK, but it’s still one of the fastest ways to push forward.
Alliances
This is where most players make a big mistake.
They join one alliance… and stay there forever.
Don’t do that.
- You can leave anytime
- Stronger alliances = better rewards
- More wins in wars = faster growth
If your alliance is inactive or weak, just move.
Also, a good alliance leader should:
- Give instructions
- Stay active
- Coordinate members
If not, it’s a red flag.
And if you want to lead?
- Create your own alliance (costs gems)
- Use chat to recruit
- Stay active, or it dies quickly
Red Dots = Free Progress
Every time you see a red dot in the UI, it means:
- Rewards available
- Tasks completed
- Something needs attention
This is basically the game telling you:
“Hey, free stuff here.”
Make it a habit to clear all red dots before logging off.
Quests System
There are three types:
- Daily quests → reset every day
- Chapter quests → main progression
- Growth tasks → extra rewards
If you ever feel lost, just follow quests.
They naturally guide your progression without overthinking.
Also, don’t forget your mailbox.
Devs constantly send rewards there—especially after battles or events.
Base Management & Survivor Happiness
Your base isn’t just for looks—it directly affects efficiency.
Each survivor has needs like:
- Food
- Sleep
- Comfort
- Mood
If these are low, your production slows down.
Example:
If “Satiety” (food) is low → upgrade Cookhouse
If sleep or comfort is low → upgrade Cabins
Higher happiness = better productivity = faster progression
Decrees – Quick Boosts
Decrees are like temporary buffs.
Some examples:
- Quick Yield → instant resources
- Holiday Break → boosts survivor mood
Use them when you’re:
- Low on resources
- Preparing for upgrades
- Fixing low happiness
Small boosts, but very clutch at the right time.
Resource Management
Here’s a trick many beginners don’t know:
Don’t open all your resource items immediately
Why?
Because:
- Open resources = can be stolen
- Stored items = completely safe
So only use resources when you actually need them.
This alone can save your progress from raids.
Training Troops
Never let your training buildings sit idle.
You have:
- Piercer Camp
- Basher Camp
- Other troop buildings
Higher levels unlock stronger units (big power spikes).
Even if you think you don’t need troops—train anyway.
They:
- Boost overall power
- Help in expeditions
- Strengthen your defense
Idle buildings = wasted progress.
Shops, Arena & VIP
There are multiple shops:
- Arena shop (use tokens from PvP)
- Alliance shop
- Common shop
- VIP shop
Arena is especially important:
- Fight regularly
- Earn tokens
- Buy valuable items
VIP gives strong boosts like:
- Increased production
- Resource protection
You can play free, but if you spend, VIP is where you get the most value.
Teleports & Alliance Movement
If you switch alliances:
- You’ll need teleport items
- Your base location matters for coordination
So:
- Don’t waste teleports early
- Save them if you plan to move
This becomes important later in competitive play.
