Call of Dragons Sanctification Event Guide – Shop, Rewards

The Sanctification event is live, but if you opened the calendar expecting a packed event cycle, you probably felt something was off. This update is one of those awkward in-between phases where the game technically has events running, but not the full lineup the devs already talked about. That’s where most of the confusion is coming from.

This Call of Dragons Sanctification Event Guide breaks down what Sanctification actually offers, what events are missing, and how you should approach spending, especially if you’re not trying to whale blindly.

Current Event Situation (Why the Calendar Feels Empty)

Right now, the active events include:

  • Sanctification
  • Festival of Fortitude
  • Caravan Escort
  • Bounty Hunt
  • Treasure Hunt
  • Treasured Seeker / Heartfelt Wishes

That’s it.

Based on the official notices and update info, several announced events are not live yet, including:

  • Fortune Overflows (the city theme event)
  • Bang Bang Bargains
  • Lantern Festival (limited cosmetics)

These were mentioned in the update notes, but they simply aren’t available. There was even an event briefly visible after reset that got removed, which suggests either a rollout issue or the devs holding things back to sync everyone together later.

Bottom line: this is not a full event cycle. It’s a partial one.

Sanctification Event

Sanctification is mainly a spending + milestone reward event. You progress by purchasing items, gems, or bundles that count toward purchase rewards, then redeem points inside the Sanctification shop.

The event itself isn’t long, and once you clear the milestones, there isn’t much left to grind.

Purchase Rewards

This is where expectations need to be adjusted.

  • Total Legendary Tokens available: 25
  • Tokens are spread across multiple tiers
  • Some tiers give no tokens at all

Compared to other cycles, this is on the low side. If you’re used to higher token counts, this one feels restrained.

Also important:

  • Not all bundles count toward purchase rewards
  • Only purchases marked with the green indicator contribute
  • Misclicking bundles can waste money without progressing rewards

You need to pay attention here. This event punishes autopilot spending.

Heartfelt Wishes Bundles

Heartfelt Wishes is basically the spending track tied to Sanctification.

Key things to know:

  • First tiers give small but guaranteed value (tokens + items)
  • Later tiers quickly become inefficient unless you’re a heavy spender
  • Some bundles look good but do not count toward purchase rewards

If you’re a light spender or dolphin:

  • Grab early tiers
  • Stop once efficiency drops
  • Save budget for missing events like Bang Bang Bargains

Sanctification Shop

This is the most important part of the event.

Top Priority Picks

  • Legendary Tokens
Always relevant. Good for new cavalry heroes now or infantry next season.
  • Book of Retraining / Book of Alteration
These reset hero skills and are extremely valuable long-term. You only get limited access to these.

Situational Picks

  • Skylark and star-related items if you’re pushing specific hero upgrades
  • Regeneration items if you’re actively rerolling beasts or talents

What to Skip

  • Most epic-tier items
  • Anything that doesn’t directly impact hero progression or long-term flexibility

If you’re not a Kraken, don’t try to clear every tier. The value drops hard.

Other Active Events

Even though Sanctification is the headline, a few side events are quietly good.

Caravan Escort

Often skipped, but still offers:

  • Legendary Tokens
  • Skylark
If you have time, it’s worth running.

Treasure Hunt

Runs for several days and is one of the better free-to-play token sources during this cycle. If you missed a day, it’s not over yet.

Missing Events

Two big ones are still absent:

  • Bang Bang Bargains
  • Lantern Festival

Historically, these offer better efficiency and cosmetics. If you’re budget-conscious, it’s smart to hold gems and spending power until these arrive instead of going all-in on Sanctification.

The Sanctification event isn’t bad, but it’s clearly not meant to carry the entire update by itself. It’s short, limited in legendary tokens, and heavily focused on controlled spending rather than excitement.
