Dark War Survival Trade Post Guide (Season 5)
Season 5 introduces a heavily upgraded Trade Post system, more detailed than previous seasons and significantly improved compared to Season 2. The key difference is the number of posts available, the cross-server war stages, and the new governor-exclusive mechanics.
The event lasts for 65 days.
The first three weeks are limited to your home stat only.
From Week 4 onward, the Trade Post becomes a cross-server war, meaning other stats can invade your stat or you can invade theirs.
Trade Post Levels in Season 5
Season 5 includes more posts than Season 2.
Level 1 Trade Posts
Total: Five
Previously in Season 2, there were only three.
Level 2 Trade Posts
Total: Three
Level 3 Trade Posts
Total: Two
Each level provides different item pools and different shop offerings once captured.
How Trade Post Capture Works
Trade Posts can only be captured during a one-hour window each week (Thursday at server time). During this hour:
- You teleport your watchtower close to the trade post you want to contest
- You send your truck to capture it
- There is no truck-vs-truck fighting
- Capture progress is purely percentage-based
If your alliance reaches 100% capture, you take ownership immediately.
If multiple alliances compete and none reach 100% before the hour ends:
- The Trade Post goes to the player with the highest capture percentage
- Alliance affiliation does not matter
- Even if three alliances fight, the single highest-percentage player wins
This means the post always goes to the strongest or most coordinated capture attempt.
Governor Mechanics Explained
Whoever holds the Trade Post becomes the Governor for that post and gains exclusive features.
Governor Buttons
When you become governor, an extra button appears:
- Trade (visible to everyone)
- Restock (visible ONLY to the governor)
Restock becomes active the day after capturing the post, and it allows the governor to refresh the trade items available.
Governor-Exclusive Items
Each Trade Post includes exclusive items at the top of the shop interface.
These three items can only be purchased by the governor — no alliance members have access.
Trade Post Shop and Discounts
The shop layout depends on the Trade Post level:
- Level 1 has basic items
- Level 2 adds mid-tier items
- Level 3 includes higher-value and unique items
Every item:
- Can only be purchased once per player per day
- Has a total stock limit visible inside the shop
- Resets stock for each player daily
Alliance members receive a 20% discount when buying items from a post owned by their alliance.
Tax Revenue System
While your alliance holds the Trade Post:
- Every ruby spent by any buyer generates a 20% tax
- These taxes accumulate in the Governor’s interface
- When ownership is lost, the governor can distribute dividends to the alliance using these collected taxes
This creates consistent alliance-wide rewards throughout the capture period.
Are Speedup Offers Worth Buying?
Yes, speedups purchased from Trade Posts are generally more cost-efficient than buying them from:
- VIP shop
- Black Market
- Shelter trade offers
For example:
- A 10-hour speedup bundle costs 860 rubies at the alliance-discounted price
- Black Market or VIP Shop equivalents cost significantly more
- Even without discount, Trade Posts offer better ruby-to-hour value
For free-to-play and low-spending players, this event provides the best long-term speedup value.
How to Secure a Trade Post Efficiently
During the First Three Weeks (Home-Stat Only)
You only compete with alliances in your stat.
Strategy depends on:
- Your alliance rank
- Activity level
- Coordination at the Thursday event time
From Week Four Onward (Cross-Server)
This becomes more competitive because:
- Other stats can invade yours
- You can invade their Trade Posts
- Stronger alliances from other stats may try to take control
Capture priority should be:
- Level 3 (best item value)
- Level 2
- Level 1
Teleport early, coordinate trucks, and push for the highest capture percentage possible.
Weekly Rotation and Availability
Trade Posts rotate weekly.
Availability timers show when each level opens for capture:
- Level 1 becomes available every 4 days
- Level 2 becomes available every 7 days
- Level 3 becomes available every 2 days
Players must track these timers to plan future captures.
Why Trade Posts Matter Long-Term
Owning a Trade Post provides several benefits:
- 20% item discount for your entire alliance
- Governor-exclusive items
- Tax revenue that converts into alliance chests
- Consistent access to the best speedup deals in the game
- Prestige and strategic advantage during the season
- Ability to help your alliance progress faster
The combination of shop value, alliance rewards, and cross-server strategy makes Trade Posts one of the most important Season 5 events.
