Dragon Ball Gexin Squadra Tier List (v1.1) (September 2025)

The roster in Dragon Ball Gexin Squadra is diverse, with characters falling into different categories—damage dealers, tanks, and technical supports. This tier list ranks characters based on their overall effectiveness in matches, assuming players can use each fighter to their full potential. It is based on version 1.1 of the game and will be updated as balance changes roll out.

Tier Breakdown

  • Tier 1 – Best-in-class picks; top-tier meta choices
  • Tier 2 – Reliable and strong with some situational drawbacks
  • Tier 3 – Decent picks; require specific comps or playstyles
  • Tier 4 – Currently underperforming or highly niche

Tier 1 – Top Meta Picks

Android 18 (Damage)

A high-risk, high-reward assassin with deadly combo potential. Her cooldowns shrink as she secures kills, allowing her to snowball quickly. Once ahead, she becomes very difficult to stop.

Super Saiyan Kale (Tank)

Kale excels at drawing aggro and punishing aggressive enemies. She reduces incoming damage from provoked targets and becomes significantly more durable post-transformation. Her wide-range attacks make her dominant in team fights.

Cooler (Tank)

Cooler can nullify incoming damage and punish enemy actions with his passive. While not as flashy as some tanks, his utility and stability make him a cornerstone in defensive play.

Hit (Technical)

Hit is one of the more unique characters, offering stealth-based engagements and assassination setups. While he requires strong game sense, a well-played Hit can completely disrupt the enemy’s backline.

Tier 2 – Strong and Versatile

Gamma 1 & Gamma 2 (Damage)

A tag-team unit with a shared health mechanic. They revive each other and gain HP regen through ultimates, making them surprisingly tanky. However, their strength relies heavily on managing cooldowns and synergy.

Super Saiyan Goku (Damage)

Straightforward to use and great for newcomers. Goku can initiate with Kaio-Ken and unleash burst damage quickly. His passive, however, can feel counterintuitive in team fights, where it depends on ally deaths to activate.

Uub (Damage)

A long-range DPS with cyclone-based scaling. He brings anti-CC immunity and is great for clearing space and punishing grouped-up enemies.

Perfect Cell (Tank)

Brings a new transformation system that rewards energy absorption. His ultimate allows him to force 1v1s, removing enemy threats from fights—a valuable asset in late-game defense.

Caulifla (Tank)

A pure raid-boss type. Once she starts soaking damage, she becomes hard to take down. Her taunt mechanics make her ideal for frontline disruption, although she doesn’t offer much team utility.

Baby (Tank / Support)

An unconventional tank that can heal allies or even parasitize enemies. While powerful, playing Baby well requires strong team awareness and matchup knowledge.

Super Saiyan Vegeta (Tank)

A reliable all-round tank with self-healing and cooldown reduction. His kit is straightforward but effective in most team comps.

Kid Gohan (Technical)

A supportive unit who boosts both himself and allies. Has decent offensive tools and shines when paired with DPS characters in duo lanes.

Android 17 (Technical)

A rare true support in the current roster. He brings barriers, status effects, and defensive buffs, making him a must-have for coordinated play.

Tier 3 – Niche Picks or High-Skill Ceiling

Dabura (Damage)

Petrification and debuffs make him a disruptive presence. However, his limited range and setup-heavy kit make him harder to execute consistently in chaotic fights.

Bojack (Damage)

Has a strong AoE presence and follow-up potential after transformation. Unfortunately, he feels slow early on and doesn’t scale as explosively as others in his role.

Piccolo (Damage)

A long-range specialist with high burst if positioned well. He’s difficult to use effectively but can dominate if mastered.

Super Saiyan Trunks (Damage)

Trunks thrives in close-range duels and has a cooldown-reset mechanic on kills. While powerful in theory, his simple playstyle can fall flat without the right team setup.

Zamasu (Tank)

Durable and persistent thanks to revive mechanics and ranged damage. Performs best when solo-laning or acting as an off-tank.

Frieza (Technical)

Frieza is a turret-style support who controls the field using Zarbon and Dodoria. Weak early, but strong on defense and tower holds when paired correctly.

Good Buu (Technical)

A traditional healing support ideal for grouped fights. However, Buu needs a team that can protect him, as he doesn’t offer much offensive pressure.

Krillin (Technical)

Annoying to deal with thanks to mine placements, blinds, and zoning tools. He requires map knowledge and good positioning, but his farm speed and crowd control are excellent.

Tier 4 – Currently Underwhelming

Mini Son Goku (Damage)

He’s a fun pick, but underperforms in most matchups. Lacks the impact and flexibility of other DPS characters and is best avoided in serious games unless buffed in future patches.

This tier list reflects how each character performs when fully leveled and optimized, regardless of how difficult they are to learn. As with any MOBA, things can shift dramatically with balance updates and new character releases, so check back often for revisions.

If you’re new to the game, starting with Super Saiyan Goku or Vegeta is a safe bet. More advanced players might want to explore Android 18, Cooler, or Hit for higher skill ceilings and better late-game impact.
