Dragon Fever TD Best Heroes Tier List (Non-Mythic)

If you’ve been experimenting with different heroes in Dragon Fever TD, you’ve probably realized something surprising: rarity doesn’t always decide power. Some of the strongest heroes in the game are the ones you unlock early—and if you build around them correctly, they can carry you deep into late stages.

This tier list focuses only on non-Mythic heroes—the ones you’ll actually rely on every day. Whether you’re pushing stages or farming efficiently, these are the units that define your runs.

Tier List

S Tier (Best Overall Picks)

  • Slider Pitcher
  • Blazing Shooter

A+ Tier (Top Performers)

  • Gold Medal Poisoner

A Tier (Very Strong / Reliable)

  • Shock Rifleman
  • Electric Girl

A- / B+ Tier (Good but Situational)

  • Frenzy Chainsaw
  • Bucket Shooter
  • Heavy Gunner
  • Burning Little Sun

B Tier (Average Picks)

  • Ice Archer
  • Venom Queen Bee
  • Bubbledream
  • Sweet Nurse

B- Tier (Below Average)

  • Racing Girl
  • Thunder Fang

S Tier

Slider Pitcher

This is easily one of the most broken heroes in the game.

  • Boomerangs hit twice (out and back)
  • Gains insane attack speed with upgrades
  • Level 4 upgrade adds extra blades → massive damage spike
  • Works in both vertical and round stages

Once upgraded, it becomes a constant stream of damage with almost no downtime. This is a must-have in every setup.

Blazing Shooter

Consistent damage at its absolute best.

  • Flame attacks pierce through enemies
  • Covers a huge portion of the screen when upgraded
  • Multiple flame streams = full-lane damage

It may look weak early, but once upgraded, it melts entire waves. One of the strongest scaling heroes in the game.

A+ Tier

Gold Medal Poisoner

This hero dominates round stages.

  • Surrounds your formation with spinning daggers
  • Massive scaling with speed + size upgrades
  • Incredible close-range damage

While slightly weaker in vertical stages, it’s still strong enough to justify a permanent slot in most builds.

A Tier – Reliable Core Picks

Shock Rifleman

A specialist that excels in the right setup.

  • Laser attacks pierce through enemies
  • Extremely strong in vertical stages
  • High crit scaling

Less effective in round maps, but when used correctly, it can carry entire runs.

Electric Girl

Balanced and consistent.

  • Chain lightning hits multiple targets
  • Gains more bounces and AoE over time
  • Works equally well in all stage types

Not overpowered, but never a bad pick.

A- / B+ Tier – Strong but Replaceable

Frenzy Chainsaw

  • High sustained damage
  • Limited range early on
  • Better in vertical stages

Solid early-to-mid game, but falls off compared to top-tier picks.

Bucket Shooter

  • Strong consistent DPS
  • No piercing = major weakness
  • Good starter, but replace later

Reliable early, but outclassed once better heroes unlock.

Heavy Gunner

  • Rockets with strong piercing
  • High durability contribution
  • Decent filler unit

Not flashy, but useful when you need extra coverage.

Burning Little Sun

  • Area damage with burn zones
  • Random targeting hurts consistency
  • Damage feels inconsistent overall

Good concept, but unreliable in practice.

B Tier

Ice Archer

  • High single-target damage
  • Weak AoE until later upgrades
  • Better for bosses than waves

Useful early, but quickly overshadowed.

Venom Queen Bee

  • Strong single-target DPS
  • Weak against groups
  • Better in boss-focused stages

Too situational to rely on consistently.

Bubbledream

  • Decent bouncing attacks
  • Lacks real scaling power
  • Never becomes truly impactful

Usable, but rarely optimal.

Sweet Nurse

  • High DPS potential
  • Weak against waves
  • More boss-focused

Forgettable compared to stronger options.

B- Tier

Racing Girl

  • High DPS but poor coverage
  • Weak AoE
  • Falls off quickly

Gets replaced early in most builds.

Thunder Fang

  • No splash damage
  • Mediocre scaling
  • Better vs bosses than waves

Struggles in most real scenarios.

Best Team Compositions

If you’re unsure what to run, these setups work consistently:

General Use (All Stages)

  • Slider Pitcher
  • Blazing Shooter
  • Electric Girl
  • Gold Medal Poisoner

Vertical Stages Focus

  • Slider Pitcher
  • Blazing Shooter
  • Shock Rifleman
  • Electric Girl

Round Stages Focus

  • Slider Pitcher
  • Gold Medal Poisoner
  • Blazing Shooter
  • Electric Girl

The biggest takeaway here is simple: damage coverage matters more than rarity.

Heroes that:

  • Hit multiple targets
  • Scale well with upgrades
  • Maintain constant uptime

…will always outperform flashy but inconsistent picks.

If you build around Slider Pitcher and Blazing Shooter, you’re already ahead of most players. From there, it’s just about adapting your remaining slots based on the stage type—and once you do that, progression becomes a lot smoother.
