So there’s a special game mode in Clash Royale running from November 13–20, 2023 called the Barrels o’ Fun or Elixir Barrel challenge. It’s a bit of a right kerfuffle, as you’ll need to defend your Elixir barrels, which pop up randomly in the middle of your base, while also trying to nab Elixir from your opponent’s barrels.

The twist? You can only get Elixir from these barrels, so it’s a right strategic bunfight.

To be victorious, you’ll need a deck that can protect your Elixir barrels from your opponent’s attacks while also pinching their Elixir.

  • Zap: This card is great for dealing damage to your opponents Elixir barrels and also lets you steal Elixir from your opponent’s.
  • Tornado: This card can be used to pull troops away from your barrels.
  • Arrow: This card can be used to destroy your opponent’s Elixir barrels quickly.
  • Skeleton Army: This card is a great way to defend your barrels from swarms of troops.

Deck 1: Cycle Deck

Cards:

  • Ice Spirit
  • Fire Spirit
  • Electro Spirit
  • Spear Goblins
  • Goblin Barrel
  • Log
  • Tornado
  • Skeleton Barrel

Strategy:

This deck is all about cycling your cards quickly and using your spells to counter your opponent’s Elixir barrels. Use the Ice Spirit, Fire Spirit, and Electro Spirit to stall for time, and then use the Spear Goblins and Goblin Barrel to chip away at your opponent’s tower.

Use the Log to counter your opponent’s spells, and the Tornado to pull your opponent’s troops away from your tower. Use the Skeleton Barrel to deal damage to your opponent’s tower or Elixir barrels.

Deck 2: Zap & Dash

Cards:

  • Zap
  • Bandit
  • Mega Minion
  • Magic Archer
  • Baby Dragon
  • Electro Wizard
  • Ice Golem
  • Arrows

Strategy:

Utilize the fast-paced Bandit for quick attacks and continuously use Zap to secure Elixir points. The Arrows serve as a versatile defence or attack tool.

Deck 3: Log Bait

Cards:

  • Goblin Barrel
  • Princess
  • Rascal Girl
  • Skarmy
  • Electro Wizard
  • Log
  • Ice Spirit
  • Rocket

Strategy:

Use the Goblin Barrel to chip away at your opponent’s tower, and then defend it with the Princess, Rascal Girl, and Skarmy. Use the Log to counter your opponent’s spells, and the Ice Spirit to stall for time.

Use the Rocket to finish off your opponent’s tower or even destroy/steal Elixir barrels.
