Forge Master Tier List – Best Substat Guide & Builds
In Forge Master, substats become one of the biggest power spikes once your gear reaches higher enhancement levels. Early on, your only objective is levelling items as high as possible, but once substats unlock, choosing the right ones will drastically increase your damage, survivability, and overall progression.
This Forge Master Tier List guide explains which substats matter most and how to prioritise them as a beginner.
Forge Master Tier List – Best Substat Guide & Builds
S Tier
These substats offer the strongest universal value regardless of your weapon type or build.
Double Chance
Gives you a chance to trigger two hits with a single attack. Since it multiplies your DPS directly, this is one of the most impactful offensive stats in Forge Master.
Attack Speed
Faster attacks mean more total damage, more lifesteal triggers, and more procs. One of the strongest early and late-game stats.
Lifesteal
Allows you to sustain yourself in long fights. In Forge Master, many encounters rely on consistent healing rather than heavy defense, making lifesteal essential.
A Tier
These provide excellent damage but depend entirely on the weapon you’re using.
Melee Damage
Boosts only melee weapons. If your main Forge Master weapon attacks at close range, this is one of your best upgrades.
Range Damage
Boosts ranged weapons such as bows or guns. If you are playing a ranged build, pick this without hesitation.
Choose the one that matches your playstyle; both are powerful when correctly paired.
B Tier
These substats shine when you have two or more substat slots available on your gear.
Damage
A straight boost to your weapon’s base output. Always useful but not as explosive as Double Chance or Attack Speed.
Health Regen
Provides steady passive healing over time. Helpful before you unlock strong lifesteal or when you want slow, consistent survivability.
Crit Chance
Increases your odds of landing critical strikes. Works best when paired with Crit Damage.
Crit Damage
Boosts how hard your critical hits strike. Combined with Crit Chance, this creates powerful burst potential.
Skill Damage
Increases damage dealt by skills. Great for skill-focused Forge Master builds.
Skill Cooldown
Reduces cooldown timers, allowing more frequent skill use. Works perfectly with Skill Damage for ability-oriented loadouts.
C Tier
These stats have niche value and generally appear in later stages of Forge Master progression.
Block
Provides a chance to block incoming attacks. While not useless, it is overshadowed by lifesteal, health regen, or strong offensive substats. More relevant when enemy damage becomes high in late-game chapters.
