Foundation Galactic Frontie Ground Attack – Best Champions
If you have ever gone into a port raid or planetary fight and felt like your damage was either insane or completely terrible for no clear reason, you are not imagining things. Ground combat in Foundation is very synergy-based, and using the right champions together changes everything.
I have been testing different setups since early Season 1, and this guide breaks down what actually works, which champions carry the damage, and which free-to-play heroes can still perform extremely well.
When You Should Attack (This Matters a Lot)
Always try to attack during your Commerce Guild Assault window.
This is a 45-minute period where:
- You get a huge damage bonus
- The Port Commander’s armor can be broken
- Each armor break applies a 3-minute defense debuff
This means your damage during this time is massively higher than normal. If you can time your attacks here, your results will be dramatically better.
Damage Monster – Evan
Evan is the strongest ground damage dealer in the game right now.
His beam nuke hits a massive area and deals absurd damage.
After he nukes, his next attacks gain big bonus damage, and every time he uses his nuke, his overall damage keeps scaling higher and higher.
Once Evan gets rolling, his damage just snowballs.
He is the anchor of almost every top-tier ground team.
Doug – Evan’s Best Partner
Doug is very underrated.
- He boosts beam heroes
- He applies vulnerability to enemies
- He has a solid AoE nuke
- He is free-to-play friendly
Doug directly increases Evan’s damage while also weakening the enemy. Together, they form one of the strongest ground DPS cores in the game.
Aaliyah
Aaliyah does two very important things:
- She has a strong AoE nuke
- She is melee, so she pulls aggro off your squishy ranged heroes
Her third skill gives her bonus damage for every other beam hero on the field.
With Evan and Doug both present, Aaliyah’s damage skyrockets.
This trio outputs ridiculous damage.
Zora
Zora can replace Aaliyah in many fights.
She creates a black hole that pulls in mobs from across the map.
This perfectly groups enemies so Evan’s nuke deletes everything at once.
Zora + Evan is also the best pairing for robot clearing challenges later in the season.
Free-to-Play
If you are playing free-to-play, these three heroes can still carry your ground fights:
Lonnie – Massive nuke damage and bonus damage to low-HP enemies
Kama – Strong AoE storms and huge crit damage scaling
Fade – Huge teamwide attack buffs through his ultimate and passive
Lonnie in particular is a monster and often outdamages under-leveled legendaries early game.
Lonnie
Lonnie has:
- The biggest epic nuke in the game
- Bonus damage to enemies under 50% HP
- Extremely strong early-game stats
She is one of the most important free-to-play heroes you should invest in.
Fade doesn’t deal much damage himself, but:
- His ultimate can give your team up to 120% bonus attack
- He also provides a flat 15% team attack buff
If Fade buffs Evan before a nuke, the damage becomes absolutely insane.
