HeavenHells Tier List 2026 – Best R & SR UnitsCharacters
If you’ve just started HeavenHells: Anime Squad RPG, one of the first questions that comes up is simple: which characters are actually worth investing in?
The game throws a lot of units at you early through summons and rewards. Some look amazing but perform poorly, while others quietly carry your team through difficult stages. Because of the awakening system and skill interactions, understanding the strength of each character can save you a lot of wasted resources.
So let’s walk through the tier list from beginner perspective to late-game meta, while explaining what makes each unit strong or weak.
Character Rarities
Before jumping into the rankings, it helps to understand how rarities work in this game.
R Units
R characters are the lowest rarity units you’ll get early in the game.
They can be max awakened very quickly because copies are easy to obtain. That makes them decent for the very first stages of the campaign. However, they fall off fast once stronger units start appearing.
Most players replace them quickly.
SR Units
SR characters sit in a weird middle ground. Some are forgettable, but a few are surprisingly useful early on.
Two SR units that stand out are:
Momokco
She buffs the attack of your highest attack ally, provides healing, and removes debuffs. Those three abilities together make her extremely helpful for early teams.
Subasa
Subasa improves damage from the elemental triangle, reduces enemy defense, and poisons enemies. That combination makes her useful for boosting your team’s damage output.
Even though SR units are temporary for most players, these two can stay in your squad longer than expected.
SS Tier Characters
These units are among the strongest options currently available. If you pull them, building your team around them is usually a good decision.
Arena
Arena is one of the most popular units right now, especially because many players receive a copy early.
Her kit revolves around critical hits and burn synergy.
She deals extra damage to enemies suffering from burn, increases her attack whenever she lands critical hits, and boosts her critical rate significantly for extended periods. Once her buffs start stacking, her damage skyrockets.
Because you already receive one copy at the start, many players focus their summons on her banner to awaken her further.
Sugura
Sugura brings a strong mix of offense and control.
She increases her attack speed, applies frostbite to enemies, and reduces enemy attack. That combination lets her deal steady damage while weakening opponents at the same time.
She fits easily into many team compositions.
Eno
Eno acts as a durable frontline tank.
She increases her own HP, boosts her defense, and reduces enemy attack if they’re poisoned. Her most valuable ability is creating a damage reduction field that lowers incoming damage for allies.
That defensive utility makes her one of the safest frontline units available.
Serakica
Serakica is extremely efficient because she both inflicts shock and benefits from it.
Her attacks deal extra damage to shocked enemies, and she can apply shock herself. On top of that, when she hits shocked targets she increases the entire team’s attack speed.
Few characters combine debuffs and team buffs this effectively.
Azusa
Azusa thrives on fast skill rotations.
Her extra skill always activates, which reduces the cooldown of her unique skill. This allows her to repeatedly apply bleed effects and boost her attack.
With proper timing, she maintains near-constant offensive pressure.
Owie
Owie is a high damage attacker with strong survivability.
After using her unique skill she gains attack speed and life steal, allowing her to recover health while dealing damage. She also deals massive bonus damage on critical hits and restores resources when hitting shocked enemies.
She’s both dangerous and surprisingly hard to kill.
Sarah
Sarah fills a rare role in the game: strong healing support.
She boosts her own defense and creates a field that grants life steal to allies. This means your entire team can recover health while attacking enemies.
In longer battles, that healing field becomes extremely valuable.
S Tier Characters
These units are powerful but often depend on specific team setups or enemy types.
Ena
Ena performs especially well against Ignia enemies.
She deals bonus damage against that element and inflicts frostbite on targets. If you’re fighting Ignia enemies frequently, her value jumps into top tier territory.
Outside of those fights, she’s still strong but slightly less dominant.
Sumugi
Sumugi specializes in poison synergy.
She inflicts poison on enemies and deals massive extra damage to poisoned targets. If you build a poison-based team, her damage output increases significantly.
Misha
Misha focuses on attack speed and burn effects.
She can stack multiple attack speed buffs and apply burn to enemies, making her a reliable sustained damage dealer.
Kanoko
Kanoko has strong potential if you increase her critical rate.
She inflicts burn and boosts her critical damage significantly. With the right gear or buffs, she can deal impressive burst damage.
Yamir
Yamir becomes very powerful in frostbite teams.
Her abilities trigger extra damage and resource recovery when enemies are affected by frostbite. With the right synergy, she can perform far above her tier.
A Tier Characters
These units can help during progression but are often replaced later.
Lemon
Lemon increases attack speed and deals extra damage against Glacia enemies.
She’s solid in the right matchups, but outside those fights she feels slightly weaker compared to top units.
B Tier Characters
These characters have niche uses but are generally less flexible.
Ura
Ura boosts melee allies’ HP and provides defensive barriers. The downside is that her kit only works well if your team is mostly melee fighters.
That restriction limits her usefulness.
Tomminina
Tomminina also focuses on melee ally support, granting barriers and HP bonuses.
While defensive tools are helpful, the team restriction again reduces her overall value.
SSS Tier Characters
These characters stand above the rest and often become the core of top teams.
Katya
Katya is incredibly powerful because she boosts critical rate for Illumin faction allies.
If your team consists mostly of Illumin units, the entire squad benefits. On top of that she applies shock and doubles the soul recovery rate for allies, allowing more frequent skill usage.
That combination massively increases team damage.
Ayuri
Ayuri is one of the best support characters in the game.
She increases melee allies’ defense, boosts defense penetration for the strongest attacker, and creates a healing field that also damages enemies over time.
Her ability to both support allies and damage enemies makes her extremely versatile.
Kuru
Kuru is widely considered one of the strongest offensive units.
She applies curse to enemies, reduces their defense significantly, and increases her own defense penetration. This allows her to shred even tanky enemies.
Freya
Freya pairs perfectly with Kuru.
Her abilities deal extra damage to cursed enemies, increase attack speed, and boost critical rate. When combined with Kuru’s curse debuff, Freya’s damage output becomes enormous.
Together, they form one of the most powerful damage combinations currently available.
The most important thing to remember is that team synergy matters more than rarity alone.
Many characters become much stronger when paired with units that apply the right debuffs like burn, poison, frostbite, or curse.
If you’re just starting out, focus on building a team around:
- one reliable tank
- one support or healer
- two strong damage dealers
As you unlock stronger characters and awaken them, your team composition will naturally evolve.
And honestly, experimenting with different combinations is half the fun. Some of the strongest builds in HeavenHells come from unexpected character pairings rather than simply stacking the highest rarity units.
