Kingshot Christmas Festival Guide – Merry Gift Shop

Alright, so I spent some time digging into Kingshot’s Christmas Festival, and I figured I’d share my thoughts the same way I would on a forum with friends. I went in a bit skeptical, honestly didn’t expect much beyond the usual holiday reskin… but yeah, there’s actually some value here if you play it smart. If you don’t, it’s very easy to waste resources.

This isn’t a hype post. It’s more like: here’s what I did, what I skipped, and what I think is actually worth your time.

Kingshot Christmas Festival Guide

At its core, the Christmas Festival revolves around marbles. Everything you care about funnels back into them. You get marbles mainly from:

  • Daily tasks
  • Event missions
  • And, unsurprisingly, paid packs

If you’re totally free-to-play, you can still participate, but you’ll need to be realistic about your expectations. This isn’t one of those events where you accidentally walk away with insane rewards.

Daily stuff you should not skip

There’s a daily activity tied to Jingle Balls, and yeah, this one’s important. I missed a day early on and regretted it later.

Doing these daily gets you points toward the event pass, and over time that stacks up to around 4,500+ points, especially once you start opening the extra chests. It doesn’t feel amazing day one, but it adds up faster than you think.

I recommend treating this like brushing your teeth. Just do it. Don’t overthink it.

Small spender advice (this part matters)

I’ll be straight up: if you’re a small spender, the $5 Marble Pro Pack is the sweet spot.

Why?
Because it gives you the Christmas Carol avatar frame, and frames in Kingshot are permanent stat boosts. Every frame stacks. Every stat matters. Even 2% defense adds up over time, especially if you’ve been playing a while.

I personally think this is one of those “monthly coffee” purchases that actually makes sense.

The bigger packs though? The $20 one in particular?
Not worth it unless you’re already spending big. If you’re dropping hundreds regularly, sure, grab it. Otherwise, skip it and don’t feel bad.

The marble drop mini-game (aka the gamble part)

This part confused me at first.

You drop marbles, they bounce around, and depending on how many times they hit, you get different rewards. Sometimes it feels great. Sometimes… yeah, you get the weakest drop possible and just stare at the screen for a second.

Key thing I missed initially:
Every 15 marble drops, you’re guaranteed a rotating reward. These rotate between things like:

  • Hero shards
  • True Gold
  • Gear chests
  • Charm materials

There’s also a secondary reward track that starts small and ramps up to better materials later.

You don’t need to hit 100 points like I originally thought. You actually want to aim for 500 points in the cycle. That’s where the value really starts to show.

Merry Gift Shop

The limited high-cost items are clearly designed for whales. If you’re not spending heavily, don’t even look at those. It’s not FOMO, it’s just math.

For everyone else:

  • Mythril is usually the best pick
  • Other items depend heavily on your game phase

If your kingdom hasn’t unlocked True Gold yet, you won’t get it from rewards anyway, so don’t plan around it. The game will swap in alternatives like skill books or tokens.

Holiday Greetings pack ($1)

This one surprised me a bit.

It’s a $1 pack, heavily discounted (at least on paper), and honestly? If you’re already buying the $5 pack, this is a decent add-on. Turning the whole event into a $6 total spend feels reasonable, especially compared to most Kingshot events.

I didn’t expect to say that, but here we are.

Ranking advice – please don’t do this to yourself

This is the biggest trap in the event.

Do not push for rank 1 unless you’re a whale and truly don’t care about spending. The rewards do not justify the resources burned.

Even for medium spenders, it’s a bad deal. The top reward (100 mythic hero shards) will always be contested by someone spending way more than you. Let them have it.

Personally, I stopped once I hit the final target milestone (around 274k points) and called it a day. Much better value, much less stress.

Also worth mentioning: with KVK coming up, saving resources for that is way smarter than blowing them all on a Christmas leaderboard.

Top-up benefits & Santa skin

There’s a top-up reward that gives 5% march speed once you hit $60 total spend. It’s permanent and applies in multiple situations (hunting, rallies, etc.).

I’ll probably get this over time just by buying smaller packs I’d buy anyway, but I wouldn’t rush it specifically for this event unless you were already close.
