Summoner’s Greed Norse Mythicals Event Guide
The Norse Mythicals Event has arrived in Summoner’s Greed, and instead of continuing the expected Greek rotation, Pixio has once again shuffled the pantheon order. This event introduces four Norse mythicals, but despite the hype, this is one of those banners where restraint matters more than excitement.
If you care about long-term progression, this guide will explain what each Norse mythical does, why the banner is weak in the current meta, and whether any of these units are worth your resources.
Norse Mythicals
The Norse banner includes four mythicals:
Odin
Odin uses a laser-style attack paired with a special that boosts chill effects. On paper, this sounds decent, but in practice chill-based strategies are underperforming after the recent enemy HP scaling changes. Odin’s damage simply doesn’t scale hard enough to matter in late content.
Thor
Thor attacks with a spinning hammer infused with lightning, and his special boosts lightning damage. He has fast attack speed, which is his main selling point, but raw lightning damage alone is no longer enough to carry runs. Without extreme multipliers or utility, Thor falls into the “average damage dealer” category, which is the worst place to be right now.
Loki
Loki uses poison daggers and creates clones with his special ability. While clones sound interesting, they don’t solve the real problem of modern Summoner’s Greed content: enemies simply have too much health. Loki’s damage-over-time poison doesn’t scale fast enough to keep up.
Hela
Hela applies poison and summons Wolfie through her special. Like Loki, she suffers from weak scaling. Poison damage alone cannot compete with execution-based or instant-kill setups that dominate the meta.
Norse Banner
After the recent enemy health buffs, Summoner’s Greed shifted heavily toward two types of units:
- Ultra-broken damage dealers, such as Poseidon with EMC
- High-utility monsters, like Anubis or King in Yellow, especially when paired with Deathbite
The Norse mythicals fall into neither category. They are pure damage dealers, and not strong enough ones. In the current state of the game, average damage is useless. If a unit doesn’t delete enemies or enable broken synergies, it doesn’t earn a slot.
Because of this, Norse mythicals are functionally dead on arrival for serious players.
Should You Summon on the Norse Mythicals Banner?
Short Answer
No. This is a skip banner.
Long Answer
If you are free-to-play or resource-conscious, you should not use granted summons on this event. Even if you are a spender, the value here is extremely low compared to upcoming options.
The recommended approach is to wait for:
- Loki (loan version) for stun utility, or
- Tesla / Lepoka-style long-range lightning units that actually scale
Summoning now locks you into mythicals that will sit unused once you progress further.
Are Any Norse Mythicals Even Slightly Worth It?
If you absolutely insist on summoning despite the warning, the least bad options are:
- Thor – for fast attack speed
- Odin – for niche chill interactions
Even then, neither is strong enough to justify heavy investment. These are consolation picks, not smart ones.
Monkey vs Limbs Special Event – Ignore It
Alongside the Norse banner, the Monkey vs Limbs event is also running for a short time. This event is even worse.
- Limbs has laughably short range
- Monkey is weak in every meaningful way
Neither unit has long-term value. This event exists purely as filler and can be safely ignored unless you are collecting for fun.
