The Goldfall Coast Carnival returns to Survivor.io as a time-limited fishing event. This guide covers everything you need to know to get the most out of the event.
Survivor.io Goldfall Coast Carnival Event Guide – Rewards
Event Duration
The event runs from September 15 to September 20, 2025. During this time, players can participate in fishing, complete handbook missions, exchange rewards, and compete in rankings.
How the Event Works
At its core, this is a fishing mini-game. Players use lures to catch fish, which in turn earn fishing points. Occasionally, you may catch an Emperor Fish, which provides a unique item called Emperor Fish Proof. Both of these currencies are then exchanged for rewards in the event shop.
There are four fishing stages, and each is unlocked based on the total weight of fish you’ve caught. As you catch heavier fish, you progress through stages and gain access to better rewards.
Rewards You Can Earn
There are three main types of rewards:
Fishing Points
These are earned from normal catches. You can exchange them for pet cookies, essence, S-grade excellent supply crates, various cores, and collectibles.
Emperor Fish Proof
This is earned only by catching rare Emperor Fish. It can be exchanged for high-tier items such as a Relic Core Choice Chest.
Fishing Leaderboard
Players are ranked based on the total weight of all fish caught. Higher ranks unlock bonus rewards.
Additionally, you can complete missions listed in each fishing stage’s handbook to earn more lures and resources.
How to Get Lures
You start with five free lures by default. To get more, you can:
Complete all event missions (up to 424 lures available for free)
Trade in Broken Fishing Line for extra lures
Watch ads in the Goldfall Coast Sale section
Use fishing points to buy more lures
Spend 100 gems per lure
Buy bundles with real money (optional)
Lures are essential to participation. If you want to rank high or clear all handbook tasks, plan your lure usage carefully.
Handbook Tasks and Progression
Each of the four stages has a set of handbook objectives. These usually involve catching a certain number of fish, reaching a specific total weight, or using lures. Completing all tasks across all stages is necessary if you want to unlock the final milestone rewards.
Major Change: Chest Opening Requirement Increased
One of the biggest changes this event is the increase in the chest opening requirement:
- Previously: You had to open 300 chests to complete event tasks
- Now: You need to open 600 chests
There is no change to the milestone rewards, which still require you to complete all tasks and spend a total of 2,000 to 5,000 gems. However, with this new change, it is now possible to reach the big milestone reward purely by opening 600 chests without spending gems, assuming you finish all other tasks.
This change benefits players who grind chests daily and may reduce the need for gem spending if you’re consistent.
