Capybara Go Updated F2P Gem Spending Guide (v1.7.3)

Free-to-play life in Capybara Go has always revolved around one simple truth: gems are your lifeline. These little purple crystals at the top of your screen decide how fast you grow, what events you can participate in, and ultimately, how far your account can go without dropping real money. With update 1.7.3, priorities have shifted thanks to new systems and time-gated resources. If you’ve been spending gems the old way, it’s time to readjust.

Below is a complete guide on where, when, and why you should be spending gems as a F2P player.

Capybara Go Updated F2P Gem Spending Guide (v1.7.3)

1. The Golden Rule: Always Save 32,000 Gems

The first and most important rule is simple: never let your gem stash fall below 32,000.
Why? Because of Big Adventure.

  • Big Adventure is the only way to get the books required to unlock additional Dragon Girl stars.
  • Each set of 10 books costs 3,200 gems, and you can buy up to 100 each cycle.
  • That means you need a full 32,000 saved every time Big Adventure comes around.

With the new resonance system, Dragon Girl upgrades directly power up your other adventurers. Missing out on this event means stalling your entire account’s growth.

Bottom line: Big Adventure is priority #1, always.

2. Martial Arts Tournament

If Big Adventure is the lifeblood of your adventures, then the Martial Arts Tournament is the foundation of your gear progression.

The key here is Divine Weapon Cubes.

You need 60 cubes per gear slot just to reach SS-tier equipment. With 6 gear slots, that’s 360 cubes minimum—and that’s before psionic refinement.

The tournament only gives out 30 cubes per cycle (two weeks). Do the math and you’ll see this is a six-month grind you cannot afford to skip.

Here’s where gems come in:

To maximize cube acquisition, you’ll need to buy Martial Arts Dice.

10,000 dice costs 6,000 gems, and you’ll often need them to bet and secure enough radars to purchase the cubes.

Rule of thumb: Always invest gems into dice if it’s the difference between getting cubes or missing them.

3. Treasure Team

Next up is the Treasure Team event.

  • This is your best way to unlock arcana for weapons.
  • It also drops universal crystals, which speed up mythic weapon progression.

While not as critical as Dragon Girl or Divine Cubes, this is still worth saving for if you’re caught up on your core priorities. Having another 32,000 saved on the side is recommended, but only if you’re already secure for Big Adventure and Martial Arts.

4. Mystic Sea

This event is the pet-focused version of Treasure Team.

If you own Elsa or Freya (and you should, since they’re staples in most builds), Mystic Sea is how you unlock their Arcana.

Again, it costs 32,000 gems to secure what you need.

This is more of a “secondary save.” Don’t starve your Big Adventure gems for Mystic Sea. Treat it as a bonus target once the essentials are locked in.

5. Daily Must-Spend: Dungeon Dive Tickets

Outside of big events, your most consistent daily gem spend should be on Dungeon Dive vouchers.

  • Buy two extra vouchers per day, no exceptions.
  • Even if you lose every run, the gold horseshoes you earn for mount progression are worth far more than the 200 gems spent.
  • If you’re new, the stage progression rewards alone will pay you back in gems.

Think of this as your daily gem tax—non-negotiable if you want long-term growth.

6. Conditional Spending: Extra Energy

Energy purchases are situational, but useful under the right conditions:

  • During events that reward energy spending, picking up the first two energy packs can help you climb to a better rank for extra rewards.
  • Also handy if you’re just shy of finishing a chapter or hard mode push.

Do not go past the first two buys (150 → 180 gems). After that, the cost skyrockets and becomes inefficient.

7. Event Spending: Ninja Turtles & Seasonal Specials

Every so often, Capybara Go drops limited-time crossover or seasonal events (like the Ninja Turtles event). These are absolutely worth saving extra gems for.

They include exclusive adventurers, mounts, arcana dust investments, and rare resources like legacy boxes, elite packs, and gem keys.

Even if you don’t care about the featured adventurer, just pushing them to level 30/60/90 provides global stat bonuses for your roster.

Strategy: Keep a stash of “event-only” gems for these one-off opportunities. You’ll regret skipping them.

8. Optional Sink: Limited Secret Chests

Once your core priorities are secured, extra gems can flow into Limited Chests.

They’re great if you’re still chasing your first mythic weapon or missing important mythic gear.

However, the value is inconsistent compared to events. Think of this as a “luxury option” for newer accounts or if you’re waiting between event cycles.

9. What NOT to Spend On

There are plenty of gem traps that look tempting but aren’t worth it anymore:

Black Market Horseshoes: 800 gems for 50 horseshoes is terrible when you get 50 just by failing a Dungeon Dive.

Legendary Treasure Chests: Poor return compared to events or Limited Chests.

Random impulse buys: Save for events instead—every gem counts.

Final Priority List (1.7.3)

Always save 32,000 for Big Adventure (non-negotiable).

Martial Arts Tournament – spend gems on dice to secure Divine Cubes.

Dungeon Dive – 2 daily vouchers, every day.

Treasure Team (weapon arcana).

Mystic Sea (pet arcana).

Energy purchases (only first two, only during events).

Special crossover/seasonal events (Ninja Turtles, Harvest, etc.).

Limited Chests if you’re missing mythic gear.

Everything else is a trap—skip it.

The gem economy in Capybara Go is tighter than ever. With the introduction of Divine Weapon Cubes and the ever-growing importance of Dragon Girl resonance, free-to-play players can’t afford to make mistakes. Stick to the priority list above, and you’ll ensure steady progression without burning out your gem reserves.
