Whiteout Survival Deadshot Event Guide for F2P Players

The Deadshot Event in Whiteout Survival brings a mix of luck, precision, and risk-taking. It’s one of the more unpredictable limited-time events — and while it can be fun, it also tests your patience and resource management. This guide breaks down how the event works, the best F2P strategy, and whether you should save or spend your shots.

Whiteout Survival Deadshot Event Guide for F2P Players

The Deadshot Event is a special deal-based mini-game where players shoot at targets to earn random rewards. It’s centered around luck — each shot can give you progress toward opening better chests or end your stage early depending on what you hit.

The goal is to build up your chest quality and keys strategically, aiming for the best-tier rewards before the stage ends.

2. How the Event Works

At the start of each stage, you’ll see 12 targets arranged in a circle, with 1 wooden chest in the center.

Each stage follows this structure:

  • Cost per shot: 1 Shotet (the event currency)
  • Optional multiplier: You can shoot up to 5 times at once, spending 5 Shotets and multiplying your rewards x5

Your goal is to shoot targets and collect three key types of items that determine your progress and chest quality.

3. Key Items & Their Functions

Each target you hit can drop one of three key item types:

1. Trove Keys

  • Required to open the chest at the end of a stage
  • You need 2 Trove Keys to open one chest
  • Once you collect 2 Trove Keys, the stage ends immediately
This can cut your progress short if your chest hasn’t been upgraded yet.

2. Point Boosts

  • Each Point Boost increases the number of chests available in the current stage.
  • Example: If you get one Point Boost, you’ll now have 2 chests instead of 1.
These are useful since they increase the total number of prizes you can claim.

3. Upgrade Points

  • Used to upgrade your chest’s quality
  • There are 4 chest tiers:
    1. Wooden Chest
    2. Silver Chest
    3. Gold Chest
    4. Diamond Chest
  • It takes 2 Upgrade Points to move up one tier
  • Reaching the maximum Diamond Chest requires 8 total Upgrade Points

4. Luck-Based Progression System

Here’s where the event becomes tricky:

  • If you get two Trove Keys before reaching Diamond tier, the stage automatically ends.
  • If you’re lucky and pull Upgrade Points first, you can reach Diamond tier before opening the chests for the best rewards.
  • But if Trove Keys appear too early, you’ll be stuck with a lower-tier chest and weaker rewards.

This makes Deadshot heavily RNG-based — success depends on hitting items in the right order.

5. How to Get Shotets (Event Currency)

You’ll need Shotets to participate in the event. They can be earned from:

  1. Daily Logins during the Deadshot event
  2. King of the Ice Field tasks
  3. Brothers in Arms event activities

Currently, these are the only F2P methods to obtain Shotets. Occasionally, developers may add purchase bundles or additional earning routes during future reruns.

6. Milestone Rewards

Each Shotet you use counts toward event milestones.

  • Reaching milestone thresholds grants bonus rewards such as resources, boosts, and sometimes exclusive action emotes.
  • These milestones are cumulative, meaning the more you shoot (even across multiple sessions), the more bonus rewards you’ll claim.

7. F2P Strategy – Save or Spend?

For Free-to-Play (F2P) players, the best approach is to save.

Here’s why:

  • Rewards are random and can be disappointing even at high chest tiers.
  • The chance-based nature makes it inefficient to spend small batches of Shotets.
  • Instead, save up at least 60+ Shotets before playing — this allows you to:
    • Hit milestones faster
    • Increase your odds of higher-tier rewards
    • Play multiple stages in one go, improving efficiency
  • The event returns periodically, so holding onto your Shotets for future reruns is smart.

In short:
Save now, spend later when you have enough for milestone bursts.

8. Comparison – Deadshot vs. Mia’s Fortune Hunt

Feature Deadshot Event Mia’s Fortune Hunt
Type Random shooting Targeted reward wheel
Progression Based on luck Strategy-based
Reward Control Minimal High (you can aim for exact items)
Best for Players who enjoy chance mechanics Players aiming for specific premium items

Mia’s Fortune Hunt offers more consistent rewards and control, while Deadshot relies on pure RNG. For F2P players, that makes Deadshot riskier and less rewarding unless luck is on your side
