Tiles Survive Shark Hero Guide – Skills, Marine Faction
If you look at Shark for the first time in Tiles Survive, he doesn’t immediately stand out as flashy. His damage numbers don’t look huge on paper, and he’s labeled as a defense hero, which usually makes players assume he’s just another tank.
But once you actually watch him in battle, his role becomes much clearer. He’s not just there to soak damage — he strengthens the frontline while constantly dealing area damage, and that combination is what makes him feel different from many other heroes.
Tiles Survive Shark Hero Guide – Skills, Marine Faction, and Arena Test
Marine Faction
One of the first things that makes Shark unique is his Marine faction. He counts as any faction when forming a lineup.
This means he can fit into almost any team while still helping you reach faction bonuses. Because of that flexibility, he works in many different formations without breaking your setup.
Basic Skill – 70% AoE
His basic attack shows 70% damage, which doesn’t look very high at first. The important part is that it hits all enemies in range.
If he’s facing three frontline enemies, that becomes 210% total damage. That’s why his damage starts to feel much more noticeable during actual fights.
Ultimate – Transformation
His ultimate turns him into a shark for a few seconds. During this time, he reduces incoming damage and deals area damage around him.
The cooldown is short enough that this effect appears regularly during longer battles.
Passive – Frontline Buff
Shark’s passive increases the health and defense of frontline heroes by percentage.
Because it scales with stats instead of being a flat bonus, it becomes more valuable as your heroes get stronger. This is the main reason he is often placed behind frontline tanks.
Special Gear
His special gear provides a small amount of damage reduction, but it only applies to him.
It helps him stay alive slightly longer, though it does not affect the rest of the team.
Team Setup
Shark works best when paired with strong frontline heroes. His buffs make tanks harder to defeat while he continues dealing area damage.
When combined with defensive heroes and a healer, the lineup becomes very durable.
Arena Test
During arena testing, Shark was not fully upgraded. Even so, his role was most effective when placed in the backline supporting frontline heroes.
His impact becomes more noticeable depending on upgrades and the strength of the team around him.
