Tiles Survive Copper Clash Guide – Lairs, Mines, Cities
Season 3 in Tiles Survive introduces one of the most competitive mechanics in the game: Copper Clash. This mode decides faction rankings, alliance rewards, and long-term progression during the season.
If your faction wants to rank high, everything comes down to collecting copper efficiently. Many players focus on only one activity, but the reality is that copper comes from three main systems working together.
Understanding how Clash battles, Cities, and KVK work together is the key to winning Season 3.
What Copper Clash Is in Season 3
Copper Clash is essentially a large faction-wide competition where alliances and states cooperate to gather as much copper as possible.
Your performance determines:
- Faction ranking
- Alliance ranking
- Season rewards
- Extra upgrade materials
Unlike earlier seasons, the system now heavily focuses on faction cooperation rather than individual alliances.
So if your faction cannot coordinate properly, even strong alliances can lose to smaller but organized factions.
The Three Main Sources of Copper
To climb the rankings, your faction must gather copper from three different sources.
These include:
- Copper Clash Battles (Lairs and Mines)
- Cities that generate copper passively
- KVK victory rewards
Each of these sources contributes differently, and the best factions balance all three.
Copper Source #1 – Clash Battles (Lairs and Mines)
The most active source of copper is the Copper Clash battlefield, where alliances fight for strategic locations.
There are two key structures inside the clash area:
- Lairs
- Mines
Both generate copper, but they work differently.
Lairs – Attack to Capture Points
Lairs reward points through attacking and capturing them.
When your alliance attacks a lair and gains control, the faction begins earning points from it.
The higher the value of the lair, the more copper your faction receives.
However, lairs are usually contested constantly. Other alliances will try to retake them, which means you need active players ready to defend and counterattack.
This makes lairs a high activity battlefield.
If your alliance likes constant PvP and organized attacks, lairs are where you should focus.
Mines – Passive Copper Through Defense
Mines work a little differently.
Instead of gaining points by attacking, you earn copper by capturing and defending the mine locations.
Once captured, mines generate copper per minute.
Typical point rates look like this:
- Small mine nodes → +1 point per minute
- Stronger nodes → +2 points per minute
The longer your faction holds the mine, the more copper it accumulates.
But mines are not completely safe. If you see the screen flashing during gameplay, it means:
- Someone is attacking
- Or defenders are fighting to keep control
Because of this, mines require constant defensive support.
Mine Sizes and Layout
Not all mines are equal. Some are much more valuable than others.
The sizes usually include:
- Small mines
- Medium mines
- Large mines
- Extra-large mines
Larger mines typically have multiple capture nodes, meaning alliances must hold several points at once to control the entire structure.
For example:
A medium mine may contain three different capture points. If enemies capture even one of them, they can start disrupting your copper income.
This is why large mines often require multiple alliances defending together.
Copper Source #2 – Cities (Passive Copper)
Cities provide one of the most stable copper incomes.
Once your alliance captures a city, it begins generating copper every hour.
This income is passive, meaning:
- No constant fighting required
- Copper accumulates automatically
- The alliance just needs to hold the city
Cities are extremely valuable during long seasons because their copper income adds up over time.
Strong factions often divide cities between alliances so everyone contributes to total copper production.
This prevents one alliance from carrying the entire faction.
Copper Source #3 – KVK Rewards
The third major copper source comes from KVK (Kingdom vs Kingdom) battles.
Winning KVK provides large copper rewards, making it one of the most impactful events in the season.
While Clash and Cities provide steady accumulation, KVK acts like a massive copper boost.
A faction that wins KVK can jump several positions in the rankings instantly.
Because of that, many factions prepare heavily for KVK fights rather than focusing only on smaller clashes.
New Map Changes in Season 3
Season 3 introduced some important map updates.
Each clash map now contains six opponents total.
These are split between two factions.
Typical layout:
- 3 alliances from one faction
- 3 alliances from the opposing faction
Different maps may also have different starting resource amounts.
Some bases start with:
- 300 resources
- Others start with 200 resources
This depends on the map layout and the starting positions assigned.
These differences affect early expansion strategies.
Solo Points and Daily Rankings
Aside from faction progress, players can earn solo points.
Solo points come from:
- Killing enemy troops
- Attacking opposing players
- Participating in clash battles
These points contribute to daily rankings and unlock personal rewards.
A useful detail many players worry about:
Your solo progress does not reset if you stay in the same alliance. As long as you don’t leave your alliance, your accumulated points remain safe.
So consistency is more important than massive single-day pushes.
Alliance Ranking vs Faction Ranking
Earlier seasons focused more on state or alliance rankings.
Season 3 changed that system significantly.
Now the main ranking is Faction Ranking.
This means:
- Multiple alliances within a faction contribute together
- Total copper is shared toward faction progress
- Cooperation between alliances matters more than ever
You can even view how different states inside your faction are performing.
This allows factions to see:
- Which states are contributing the most
- Which alliances are falling behind
It creates a competitive but cooperative environment.
Best Strategy to Win Copper Clash
If your faction wants to win Season 3, the strategy is actually quite simple in theory — but difficult in practice.
The strongest factions follow three core principles.
1. Control cities early
Cities provide passive copper that builds over weeks.
2. Defend mines consistently
Mines generate steady copper every minute, making them critical long-term income.
3. Coordinate attacks during clash battles
Well-timed attacks on lairs can swing copper rankings quickly.
But the most important factor is communication.
Factions that coordinate between multiple alliances usually dominate the leaderboard.
Without coordination, alliances will attack random targets and waste valuable resources.
Copper Clash adds a strategic layer to Tiles Survive that goes far beyond simple combat.
Winning isn’t just about having strong troops — it’s about controlling territory, coordinating alliances, and managing copper income over time.
The factions that dominate Season 3 usually:
- Share cities effectively
- Defend mines consistently
- Coordinate lair attacks
- Perform well in KVK
If your faction manages all three copper sources properly, climbing the rankings becomes much easier.
And in a season that can last several weeks, those small copper gains eventually turn into a massive advantage.
