Astral New Fantasy Beginner Guide – Pets, Mounts & Upgrades

Astral New Fantasy has officially launched globally, and if you are just starting out, this guide is going to help you understand how the game actually works before you get overwhelmed by all the menus, upgrades, and systems flying across the screen every two seconds.

I’m going to go over the beginner basics, classes, coupon codes, progression systems, and also explain what type of MMO this actually is so you know what to expect before investing a ton of time into it.

Redeem Coupon Codes

The very first thing you should do after starting the game is redeem all the available coupon codes.

Some of the rewards are entered through the special shop and give you a huge amount of Diamonds. Those Diamonds can then be used on various progression items and upgrades early on.

Codes are honestly one of the fastest ways to get a good start as a beginner because they throw a lot of free resources at you immediately.

Best Class to Pick

The game currently has five main classes:

  • Lancer
  • Fighter
  • Blade Dancer
  • Warlock
  • Elementalist

Now honestly, this is one of those MMO mobile games where class choice does not matter as much as people think.

There are some differences between the skills and visuals, but overall the gameplay is extremely similar across most classes. In this type of game, power level matters way more than actual class mechanics.

So instead of stressing about the “best” class, you should mostly pick whichever one looks the coolest to you visually.

Still, here is a quick breakdown of what each class is supposed to be.

Elementalist

The Elementalist focuses on magic damage and spell casting. If you like flashy magic attacks and ranged-style combat, this is probably the class you will enjoy the most visually.

Warlock

The Warlock is another magic-focused class but has more of a summoner-style theme. It is somewhat similar to a necromancer since it revolves around dark magic and summoned creatures.

Blade Dancer

This is your fast melee DPS class and plays more like an assassin. It focuses on quick attacks and aggressive close-range combat.

Fighter

The Fighter is more like a barbarian-style melee class with heavier attacks and straightforward combat.

Lancer

The Lancer is basically the traditional warrior or tank-style class. It is supposed to be bulkier and more durable than some of the other classes.

What Kind of MMO Is This?

Astral New Fantasy is one of those autoplay-heavy mobile MMORPGs where the game mostly plays itself early on.

You will notice very quickly that:

  • The game auto quests constantly
  • Levels go up extremely fast
  • Your screen is filled with menus and buttons
  • Most progression revolves around increasing power numbers

A lot of players hit Level 50 extremely quickly without even fully understanding what is happening because the game pushes progression very aggressively.

How Gear Progression Works

The gear system is similar to many other mobile MMORPGs.

Your goal is basically to keep upgrading into higher gear tiers.

For example:

  • Complete a full Tier 1 set
  • Move into Tier 2 gear
  • Then Tier 3
  • And so on

Most of the progression loop revolves around constantly replacing equipment with stronger tiered gear to increase your overall combat power.

Power Matters More Than Skill

One important thing to understand early is that this game is heavily focused on raw power scaling.

In PvP and most content:

  • Higher numbers usually win
  • Spending money increases progression speed
  • Skill choices are not very impactful
  • Class choice matters less than total power

That is just the type of MMO this is.

If someone spends heavily on upgrades, pets, XP boosts, and progression packs, they are going to progress much faster than free-to-play players.

Pets, Mounts & Upgrades

As you progress, the game unlocks a huge number of upgrade systems including:

  • Pets
  • Mounts
  • Gear upgrades
  • XP boosts
  • VIP bonuses

Most of these systems simply increase stats and power ratings.

For example, your first pet gives bonuses like auto-pickup and XP increases. These upgrades help progression move even faster.

VIP & Monetization

The game also heavily pushes VIP systems and paid progression.

You get some basic VIP benefits for free early on, but there are also premium paid versions with much stronger rewards.

You will constantly see:

  • Top-up systems
  • VIP rewards
  • Premium upgrade tracks
  • Paid progression boosts

That is a huge part of the game’s design.

Visually, the game honestly looks decent. The classes, effects, animations, and bosses are not bad at all.

The main issue is more with the gameplay systems and UI overload.

There are so many buttons, menus, currencies, and upgrade systems thrown at the player immediately that it can feel messy and overwhelming. A lot of progression is also automated, so sometimes it feels like the game is just playing itself.

If you enjoy casual autoplay MMORPGs where you constantly increase your power level and collect upgrades, you might still have fun with it.

But if you are looking for a deeper MMO experience with meaningful strategy, difficult mechanics, or impactful combat decisions, this probably will not be the game for you.
