Call of Dragons Saluna Flying Hero Guide (Spring Warden)

Saluna is the first epic flying hero introduced in Call of Dragons, and her arrival is far more impactful than her rarity suggests. She fundamentally strengthens the Spring Warden faction and finally gives Forest Eagles a dedicated flying commander that works in real open-field PvP. This guide breaks down Saluna’s skills, how they actually function, and where she fits into the evolving flying meta.

Call of Dragons Saluna Flying Hero Guide (Spring Warden Eagle)

Saluna is an Epic flying hero designed to work with multiple troop types, not just flyers. While she naturally synergizes with Forest Eagles, her kit is flexible enough for mages, infantry, and mixed open-field marches.

Why Saluna is important:

  • First true flying hero built for PvP impact
  • Strong open-field utility rather than niche damage
  • Massive boost to Spring Warden viability
  • Enables real Forest Eagle harassment and mobility play

Even as an epic hero, Saluna brings tools usually reserved for legendary commanders.

Rage Skill – Blade of Claron

  • Rage Cost: 1,000
  • Damage Factor: 900
  • Range: Very long
  • Effect: Grants Luna Moth Mark (up to 3 stacks)

Each Luna Moth Mark stack:

  • Ignores 5% enemy defense
  • Maximum of 3 stacks
  • Total potential: 15% defense ignore

This skill immediately makes Saluna dangerous in sustained fights. Defense ignore scales extremely well in PvP, especially against tanky infantry and T4/T5 units. The long attack range also allows Saluna to sit comfortably behind mage formations or ranged flyers.

Skill 2 – Resurgence (Core Skill)

This is Saluna’s most complex and potentially game-changing ability.

When the legion is defeated in the field:

  • Consumes all Luna Moth Mark stacks
  • Deals damage to the enemy legion
  • Damage Factor: 300 × number of stacks

When the legion survives combat:

  • Consumes all Luna Moth Mark stacks
  • Heals the legion
  • Healing Factor: 400 × number of stacks

Important implications:

  • If stacks are capped at 3, this equals:
    • 900 damage on defeat
    • 1,200 healing on survival
  • If stacks are not hard-capped, this skill becomes extremely powerful in long engagements

This mechanic strongly rewards:

  • Sustained open-field fights
  • Hit-and-run play with flyers
  • Infantry marches designed to trade and die efficiently

Once fully tested in-game, this skill may redefine sacrifice trading in PvP.

Skill 3 – Mixed Troop Damage Boost

  • Melee units gain 20% Attack
  • Ranged units deal 10% increased damage

This skill confirms Saluna’s versatility. While the melee attack boost is decent for infantry, the ranged damage bonus clearly favors mages and flying ranged units. Forest Eagles benefit directly from this, making her a natural secondary or primary for flying compositions.

Skill 4 – Mobility and Survivability

  • March Speed +20%
  • HP +10%

This is one of the strongest epic utility skills currently available.

Key advantages:

  • March speed is not limited to flying units
  • Excellent for open-field PvP
  • Strong synergy with fast commanders like Skogul
  • Improves hit-and-run tactics and chase potential

This single skill alone makes Saluna valuable even outside flying-only marches.

Awakening Skill

  • Adds +100 damage factor to Blade of Claron
  • Rage skill damage increases from 800 to 900

The awakening bonus is modest but solid. Saluna’s value comes from her kit synergy rather than raw burst damage.

Best Uses for Saluna

Saluna shines most in open-field PvP, especially in mobile compositions.

Best roles:

  • Forest Eagles primary or secondary
  • Mage backline support
  • Fast harassment marches
  • Objective rushing in Roots of War
  • Infantry sacrifice trades (depending on stack behavior)

She is especially powerful when paired with other fast or flying heroes.

Recommended Hero Pairings

Strong synergies include:

  • Forondil + Saluna – Maximum flying speed and objective control
  • Skogul + Saluna – Extreme march speed pressure
  • Mage commanders + Saluna – Long-range damage and sustain
  • Infantry frontline + Saluna – Punishing death-trigger damage

As more flying heroes are added, Saluna’s value will continue to increase.

Impact on Spring Warden Meta

Before Saluna, Spring Warden lacked enough flying commanders to fully exploit Forest Eagles. With her release:

  • Spring Warden gains real flying PvP identity
  • Eagle marches become viable for harassment
  • Mobility-focused gameplay becomes stronger
  • Multi-flying compositions become realistic

Once the faction reaches three to five flying heroes, Spring Warden will become one of the most dangerous open-field factions in the game.

Saluna is far more than “just an epic hero.” Her defense ignore, healing or revenge damage, and massive march speed boost make her one of the most impactful epic releases in Call of Dragons. If her stack mechanic proves uncapped or easily refreshed, she could redefine open-field trading entirely.
