The Version 79 update has officially rolled out for Android and iOS, bringing a mix of new events, hero families, quests, and quality-of-life improvements. If you’re jumping back into the game, here’s everything you need to know about what’s changed.
Harvest Festival
The highlight of this update is the Harvest Festival, which introduces new rewards and a fresh hero family.
Harvest Summon Update: Every Harvest Summon now comes with a guaranteed +1 bonus draw, with a chance to get up to +9.
Harvest Summon Chest: Only heroes released in the last two years (730 days) are included, keeping the pool more current.
New Hero Family: The Valiant Vegetable Family joins the game, offering new team-building options.
Shadows of the Deep
Two mysterious new families arrive through the Shadow Summon.
Institute Heroes: Researchers who risk their sanity to harness eldritch powers.
Forsaken Heroes: Devotees of the Old Ones, transformed by dark energies.
This adds a darker flavor to the roster and new synergy options for team play.
Dragon Cave Quest
A brand-new Dragon Cave quest has been discovered in the Stronghold.
- Requires Assist Dragons to succeed.
- Each Assist Dragon can only be used once per run.
- Assist Dragons gain bonus damage, healing, and Spirit energy.
- Matching shields of the dragon’s element grants mana boosts.
This quest emphasizes dragon strategy more than ever.
Emblem Mimics
A new set of Legendary Mimic heroes arrive via Secret Summon. Their unique ability:
- Each Emblem Mimic can add emblems of two Hero classes to your battle loot, speeding up progression.
Summon System Updates
Both Epic Hero Summons and Elemental Summons get modernized with featured heroes.
- Epic Hero Summon: Daily featured Legendary Hero, chosen from outside the Classic Family.
- Elemental Summon: Includes one featured Legendary Hero that rotates based on the element. Each summon also adds an extra draw for Trainer Heroes or Tomes of Experience.
Treasure Quest & Visual Changes
- Treasure Quest now has updated bonus challenge levels, plus new avatar pins as rewards.
- Assist Dragons received a visual overhaul. Their icons and mana bars are now easier to see, and skills clearly pulse when ready to activate.
Leveling Improvements
Leveling heroes and dragons is smoother with new bonuses:
- Sacrificing duplicates grants extra XP.
- Auto-leveling is smarter, stopping once your skill upgrade chance hits 100%.
- A new tooltip shows a breakdown of XP sources.
Quality of Life Improvements
Version 79 also packs in a range of smaller fixes and improvements:
- Easier resource bundle usage: tap a resource bar to quickly refill from your inventory.
- Defense teams in Hero League and Wars can now be edited during cooldowns.
- Improved wording on resist-type skills for clarity.
- Notifications for unused Alliance War energy are smarter and trigger even if you partially used energy before.
- Skip Wait menus now allow press-and-hold for faster adjustments.
- UI and text improvements across multiple summons, war modes, and status effects.
Bug Fixes
Several long-standing issues have been addressed:
- Fixed visual bugs with training buildings, raid bonuses, and event messages.
- Corrected incorrect mana steal calculations.
- Status effect interactions (cleanse, block, casting order) now behave as intended.
- Missing icons, overlapping text, and translation issues resolved.
Version 79 is a feature-rich update that adds depth with new families, quests, and heroes, while also making the game more polished and user-friendly.
