Epic Plane Evolution Beginner Guide Wiki – Upgrade Systems
Epic Plane Evolution might seem like a simple slingshot game at first glance, but it hides layers of upgrade strategy, speed control, and income scaling that can make the difference between crashing at the start or soaring through levels. Whether you’re just starting or looking to understand the game’s mechanics better, this guide breaks it all down. Also check out: Epic Plane Evolution Vintage Plane Guide
Epic Plane Evolution Beginner Guide
1. Game Progression: Stage, Rollbacks & Multipliers
The game is structured in stages, and once you complete all of them, you can “roll back” to stage 1. This is called “rolling over”, and each time you do it, your income multiplies massively.
Rolling over helps you farm more coins faster on earlier stages and accelerates your progression during replays.
The game keeps track of your income multiplier, which can skyrocket seemingly at random (some players reported getting huge multipliers just by being inactive for a few days).
2. Upgrade Systems: Plane, Slingshot & Income
Plane Upgrades (4 per level)
Each level offers 4 upgrades specific to your plane:
- Left Wing (or top/bottom on bi/triplanes)
- Right Wing
- Tail
- Propeller
Once you’ve done these four upgrades, no visible changes occur beyond that level. Any upgrades beyond these may be wasteful unless confirmed beneficial by future patches.
Slingshot Upgrades
- The slingshot is not reset between levels and is extremely important.
- Always invest in upgrading it. It directly affects your launch distance.
- Unlike the plane, there’s no cap—each upgrade continues to improve your launch, especially useful during rollbacks and early-stage farming.
Income Upgrades
- These improve your coin multiplier.
- Maxing out income early helps you snowball faster.
- Doubling your income after finishing a level applies on top of your multiplier, making stage completions a key income strategy.
3. Boosters & Ads – Skip’its and Rocket Boost
Rocket Booster
- You can unlock this only via watching ad videos or using “Skip’its” (a premium currency to skip ads).
- First 10 upgrades change the booster’s appearance.
- After level 10, upgrades extend the boost duration, not speed or visuals.
- Maxing booster can keep you flying for half a level or more—but it’s not a replacement for good flight control.
Skip’its
- These let you collect ad rewards without watching the ad.
- Save these for high-value uses like booster upgrades or coin multipliers.
4. Flight Mechanics & Speed Control
The most crucial skill is mastering your finger control during flight:
- Do NOT hold down on the screen – it will cause your plane to stall and crash.
- Use quick swipes (up, down, left, right) instead. This mimics aerodynamic adjustments.
- Your goal is to keep the plane’s speed consistent or rising, based on the new speedometer in the game.
Tips:
- Aim down slightly to gain speed.
- Lift up only when needed (e.g., to avoid obstacles).
- Watch out: Going sideways too much reduces your speed.
5. Strategy for Replaying Stages
- On the first playthrough, you’ll often start a level with no upgrades and make tiny income gains at first. Be patient.
- On repeat plays, your existing upgrades help you fly further, faster, and upgrade quicker.
- Even though slingshot upgrades may partially carry over, don’t assume full strength—upgrade them again.
6. Advanced Flight Strategy
- Sometimes it’s better to climb high, then use gravity to increase your speed going down.
- You can use this momentum to skip large sections or gain enough speed to reach new zones.
- Always be mindful of obstacles and hazards—avoid crashing, especially when carrying momentum.
7. Other Tips & Warnings
- The game can heat up your phone, especially during long flights or booster use. Close background apps to minimize lag.
- Don’t rely solely on boosters. Instead, build muscle memory for swipe controls and timing your boosts.
- Occasionally, strange bugs (like random income boosts) may happen. Don’t rely on them, but take advantage if they do.
Epic Plane Evolution is much more than a click-and-watch idle game. The true joy comes from fine-tuning your upgrades, learning how to control your plane mid-air, and optimizing each stage for maximum coins.
