But if you’re joining rallies with the wrong generals or the wrong setup, you lose huge amounts of stamina and earn far less loot than you should. This guide shows you the correct rally join setup using the Spartacus or Sonada combination with Nathaniel Green, and explains how to build the six rally presets the right way.
Why Your Rally Join Setup Matters
Every monster rally you join consumes stamina. If you join dozens of rallies per hour, even a small mistake in your setup drains your stamina completely. Most stamina issues come from players not using a stamina-reduction general or joining with an incorrect assistant.

The Correct Rally Join Combo
Your goal is simple: build one of these two combinations as your main rally join general, with the assistant general that completes the stamina reduction bonus.
Lead general options (choose whichever appears first in the tavern):
- Spartacus
- Sonada
Assistant general used in all presets:
- Nathaniel Green (six copies required)
You need:
- Six copies of Spartacus or Sonada (whichever you choose as lead)
- Six copies of Nathaniel Green for assistants
- Lead general must reach three orange stars to unlock the stamina reduction and double-drop traits
This combination gives the maximum stamina savings possible in monster rallies.
How to Recruit the Right Generals
Go to:
Tavern → Recruit → Historic General (tick enabled)
Refresh until you find either Spartacus or Sonada. Whichever shows up first becomes your designated rally lead general. Buy every copy that appears, because you need enough fragments to ascend to orange star three.
Do the same for Nathaniel Green. You need level twenty versions of him for the assistant slot.
You will also break down extra copies through Dismiss Perfectly to gain fragments for ascension.
Upgrading Your Lead General to Three Orange Stars
Your lead general must reach three orange stars before the complete stamina reduction bonuses unlock. Ascending requires fragments, and each star becomes progressively more expensive.
The process:
- Enhance through early stars
- Ascend using fragments
- Dismiss extra copies to gain more fragments
- Continue ascending until reaching orange star three
Do not stop at orange star one or two. The full benefits unlock only at three.
Setting Up Auto Join Rally Presets Correctly
This is where many players make mistakes. You must create six separate presets, each with unique copies of your lead general and unique copies of Nathaniel Green. If you accidentally use the same general in two presets, only the first rally will work and others will fail to join.
Follow this process for each preset:
- Raise your lead general to level twenty so the assistant slot unlocks.
- Assign Spartacus or Sonada (correct star level) to the preset.
- Add a separate level-twenty Nathaniel Green as the assistant.
- Set troop count to one troop only.
- Save the preset with a monster-related icon.
Repeat for all six presets.
Do not duplicate the same general copy across multiple presets. Each preset must use a different physical copy, or the system will prevent auto joining on the later slots.
