Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising: How to improve graphics?

Is Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising looking like a blurry mess on your PC? Improve graphics with no input latency with this simple tweak!

As I started playing it on PC I could see the supposedly-gorgeous Waifu fighter looking like it was rendered on a potato battery.

Turns out, Arcsys loves their dynamic resolution for making their games playable on toasters like the PS4, but they forget to turn that off for those playing on PC. So, the result is a muddy mess even at high resolutions.

Before you get started with the fix, a quick heads-up:

This tweak needs some beefy specs. If your PC struggles to run the game normally, this might turn it into a slideshow.
I haven’t noticed any input lag, but your mileage may vary. The best bet is to try it out and see for yourself.

So, let’s get to the good stuff:

Editor’s Note: I’ve an Intel Core i5 10400 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, and this tweak runs pretty smooth. It hopefully gives you an idea of what to expect.

To make your game look better, follow these directions.

Click your start menu button
Type in %appdata%, click the %appdata% folder that pops up
In the location bar, click “AppData”
Click Local
Click on the folder that says “GBVSR”
Click on the folder that says “Saved”
Click on the folder that says “Config”
Click on the folder that says “WindowsNoEditor”
Find the file that says “Engine”, and open it with Notepad or your program of choice
Go to the bottom and add the following lines:
[ConsoleVariables]
r.ScreenPercentage=200
Save and close the file.
Right-click on the Engine file again and click “Properties”
Set the file to Read Only
