Crystal Cluster is one of the most rewarding PvPvE events in the game, but also one of the easiest to play wrong. This is not about fighting, it is about efficient point farming and positioning.
Here is a clean, optimized breakdown so you can consistently rank higher.
Last Asylum Survival Crystal Cluster Guide
- Duration: 30 minutes
- Occurs: 3 times per day
- Goal: Earn the most points (crystals)
How to Gain Points
- Killing Rats → Highest consistent points
- Gathering Crystal Nodes (Lv1–Lv4)
- Capturing Instant Crystal Clusters
- Picking up Crystal Shards after captures
Important: This is a points race, not a PvP fight.
Strategy
1. Positioning Decides Everything
Before the event starts:
- Use the free teleport
- Find a spot with:
- Multiple crystal nodes nearby
- Low player density
Avoid crowded areas. If you spawn in a bad location, your run is already weaker.
2. Ignore the Center (Unless You’re a Whale)
The center zone is:
- Highly contested
- PvP-heavy
- Not efficient for most players
If you are not extremely strong, going there will lower your total points.
3. Optimal Troop Usage
Best setup:
- 1 march → Always gathering
- 1–2 marches → Killing rats
- Remaining → Flexible (clusters / backup gathering)
Why?
- Rats = fast burst points
- Gathering = steady income
- Balance = maximum efficiency
Instant Crystal Clusters
These are your biggest point spikes.
Key Details:
- Appear in waves (around minute 10, 20, etc.)
- Give massive points (up to ~4000+)
- Very fast to collect
What to Do:
- Recall troops just before they spawn
- Immediately send all marches
- Prioritize these over everything else
Missing these = falling behind instantly
Rat Farming
- ~1500 points per kill
- Fast and repeatable
Tips:
- Always target nearby rats only
- Skip distant targets (wastes time)
- Keep at least one march cycling rats constantly
Crystal Shards
After capturing nodes:
- 3 shards spawn nearby
- Each gives ~1200 points
Quick pickups add up a lot over time.
Skills Usage (Important Timing)
Gathering Boost (50%)
- Use BEFORE sending troops
- Does not apply mid-march
Combat Boost (15% stats)
- Use when:
- Killing rats quickly
