Last Asylum Plague Dwarf Mine Event Guide – Dig System

The Dwarf Mine event in Last Asylum: Survival is a limited 6-day event where players dig through floors using Dwarven Pickaxes to earn rewards. At first it looks like pure luck, but the event actually uses a pity system and probability scaling, which means your chances of getting the best rewards increase the more you dig on the same floor.

Understanding how this system works helps you predict when a Special Reward is likely to appear and how many pickaxes you may need to reach deeper floors.

Last Asylum Plague Dwarf Mine Event Guide – Dig System

Each time you press Dig, one of two reward types appears:

  • Normal Reward
  • Special Reward

Important rules:

  • Each dig gives only one reward
  • Rewards do not stack or carry over
  • The probability changes based on how many digs you’ve done on the current floor

Every floor also has a pity limit, meaning after a certain number of digs you are guaranteed to receive the special reward and move forward.

Free Pickaxes Per Day

During the event you receive 12 Dwarven Pickaxes daily by completing event quests.

Over the full 6-day event this gives a solid number of free attempts, allowing most players to progress through many floors even without spending diamonds.

Progress Milestone Rewards

As you dig deeper into the mine, the game gives extra rewards when you reach certain floors.

Major milestone floors include:

  • Floor 5
  • Floor 10
  • Floor 20
  • Floor 30
  • Floor 40
  • Floor 60
  • Floor 80
  • Floor 100

Reaching these checkpoints usually grants additional progress rewards, which makes pushing deeper floors more valuable.

Floor Pity System

Each floor has a maximum number of digs required to guarantee the special reward.

The pattern repeats every 10 floors.

Floor Ending Guaranteed After
1 or 6 5 digs
2 or 7 6 digs
3 or 8 8 digs
4 or 9 5 digs
5 or 0 10 digs

Example:

If you are on Floor 3, the special reward is guaranteed after 8 digs if it hasn’t appeared earlier.

How the Probability System Works

The game uses a weight system to determine the reward.

Two values are compared:

  • Normal reward weight (always 10)
  • Special reward weight (increases as you dig)

At the beginning of a floor:

Normal reward weight = 10
Special reward weight = 1

So the first dig chance is:

1 ÷ (10 + 1) ≈ 9% chance for a special reward

Probability Increase Per Dig

As you continue digging without getting a special reward, the weight increases.

Example probability progression:

Dig Number Special Weight Chance
1 1 ~9%
2 1 ~9%
3 5 ~33%
4 5 ~33%
5 5 ~33%
6 10 50%
7 10 50%
8 Guaranteed 100%

This system prevents extremely unlucky streaks and ensures players eventually receive the special reward.

Reward Odds by Floor Range

The probability increases significantly as you approach the pity limit.

Typical odds progression looks like this:

Floor Range Special Weight Chance
Floors 1–2 1 vs 10 ~9%
Floors 3–5 5 vs 10 ~33%
Floors 6–8 10 vs 10 ~50%
Floor 9+ 30 vs 10 ~75%

This system repeats from floor 11 all the way to floor 100.

During the event players can dig up to 200 floors if they have enough pickaxes.

Example Breakdown

Let’s say you are on Floor 3 and have already dug once.

Since Floor 3 has a pity limit of 8 digs, that means:

  • You already used 1 dig
  • You are 7 digs away from guaranteed special reward

Your probabilities would increase with each additional dig until the guarantee triggers.

Best Strategy for the Dwarf Mine Event

While the event still contains RNG elements, a few strategies improve efficiency.

Always complete daily quests to collect your 12 free pickaxes.

Try to push through floors where the pity limit is 5 or 6 digs, since they require fewer attempts to reach guaranteed rewards.

If you are close to a milestone floor, it can be worth spending additional pickaxes to reach it.

Finally, remember that probability increases each time you dig on the same floor, so continuing on one floor is usually better than stopping early.

The Dwarf Mine event might appear random, but the hidden pity system and probability scaling make it much more predictable than it first seems.

By understanding how the dig chances increase and how the floor pattern works, you can estimate how many pickaxes you need to progress and decide when it’s worth pushing deeper for milestone rewards.
