Legend of Elements Vessel & Mentor System Guide
The Vessel and Mentor Systems are two major progression updates recently added to Legend of Elements. Both systems are designed to strengthen your character over time, while also encouraging social interaction and team-based gameplay.
This guide breaks down both systems in detail — explaining how they work, how to optimize your gains, and what to prioritize if you’re looking to increase your power efficiently.
1. The Mentor System
The Mentor System allows higher-power players to mentor newer or weaker players, creating a mutually beneficial relationship where both sides earn unique rewards.
It’s a daily, passive progression system that rewards consistent play and cooperation.
How It Works
- You can choose a mentor if they have higher power than you.
- You can also recruit apprentices (up to two at a time).
- Both sides earn exclusive currencies and rewards by completing quests together.
Mentor Side
As a mentor, you’ll:
- Accept apprentices who apply under your profile.
- Earn Magiaite and Mentor Coins as your apprentices complete their daily or weekly tasks.
- Unlock graduation chests when an apprentice finishes their mentorship period.
The higher your apprentice’s completion rate, the better the graduation rewards.
Apprentice Side
As an apprentice, you’ll:
- Be able to select a mentor who is stronger than you.
- Gain access to mentorship quests, most of which overlap with your normal daily gameplay (such as running dungeons, clearing bosses, and using energy).
- Earn Apprentice Coins, which can be spent in the Mentor Shop.
Graduation System
After 10 days of apprenticeship, your apprentice will automatically graduate — provided they’ve completed at least 45 quests during that time.
Graduation can fall into three categories:
- Failed Graduation (did not complete enough tasks)
- Standard Graduation (average performance)
- Excellent Graduation (high completion rate)
Higher graduations yield better chests and rewards, such as:
- Magiaite
- Summon Materials
- Shadow Record Upgrade items
- Extra Mentor/Apprentice Coins
Mentor Shop Overview
Coins from this system can be exchanged for valuable resources.
Notable Items:
- Relic and Spirit Summon Materials
- Exclusive Cosmetic (Talent Boost) — this is the most important item, as it directly increases your Talent Points, improving combat strength.
- Avatar Frames and Titles (cosmetic only)
Tip: Always prioritize the Talent Boost Cosmetic first, as it offers an actual stat increase rather than just a visual change.
Mentor & Apprentice Activity Tips
- Always complete the shared quests daily — they’re usually tied to your normal grind (dungeons, bosses, etc.).
- Make sure your apprentices stay active for at least 10 days to ensure a successful graduation.
- The more graduates you have, the faster your Mentor Rank increases, unlocking more perks later.
- Mentor Coins can be saved for upcoming cosmetic or relic updates, so don’t rush to spend them immediately.
2. The Vessel System
The Vessel System is the second major addition, and it directly increases your Power Level and stat scaling. This feature adds a new layer of progression through Vessel Training, Promotion, and Glyph Socketing.
How to Unlock & Access
- The system automatically unlocks once you’ve progressed far enough in story missions or Vessel Quests.
- You’ll find it under the Training tab in your interface.
Soul Sparks — The Key Resource
To level up your Vessel, you’ll use a material called Soul Sparks.
These are earned through:
- Daily Quests
- World Treasure Events
- Vessel Questlines
- Limited Clan & Auction Events
Make sure to complete daily missions consistently — the game currently rewards extra Soul Sparks through global events and stage clear bonuses.
Vessel Training & Leveling
- Each Vessel starts at Level 1.
- You use Soul Sparks to train and increase the Vessel’s level.
- Every 25 levels, you’ll need to Rank Up the Vessel before continuing.
- Example: Level 25 → Rank Up → Continue training to 50, then 75, and so on.
Each rank significantly boosts your character’s base power. At around Level 50, many players report hitting +300k Power increases just from Vessel training alone.
Vessel Promotion (Ranking Up)
To promote your Vessel, you’ll need a rare item such as the Asia Plume Pendant, obtainable from:
- Clan Event Auctions (after completing specific events)
- Limited-Time Event Rewards
Without this promotion material, you’ll be locked at your current cap, so make sure to participate in those events whenever they’re live.
Glyph System (Socketing Bonuses)
Once your Vessel levels up, it unlocks Glyph Slots. Glyphs act as sub-equipment for your Vessel, adding customizable stat bonuses.
Examples of Glyph Types:
- Dodge Glyph — boosts evasion and survivability.
- Global Damage Reduction Glyph — reduces all incoming damage.
- Damage Boost Glyph — increases overall attack output.
You can synthesize Glyphs using duplicates:
- 4 identical Glyphs → higher tier Glyph (e.g., Rare → Epic).
Tip: Always prioritize Damage Boost and Reduction glyphs before others, since they have the biggest impact in both PvP and PvE.
Vessel Power Scaling
- Each level and glyph added compounds into massive stat boosts over time.
- At higher levels (75+), players are seeing jumps of millions in total Power.
- The system is designed as a long-term grind, rewarding consistency.
Additional Notes
- Auction House events occasionally feature rare glyphs and Vessel materials.
- If you missed a previous Clan Auction, wait for the next rotation — Devs have confirmed recurring events.
- As of now, click-and-hold leveling for Vessels isn’t implemented — you’ll need to tap manually when using Soul Sparks.
3. Bonus: Partner & Intimacy System (Quick Mention)
While not as impactful as Mentor or Vessel, the Partner/Intimacy System was released around the same time.
You can increase your intimacy with another player through:
- Bond Tokens
- Daily Gifts
At Intimacy Level 8, you unlock a Partner Buff, though currently it’s more cosmetic than mechanical. Most players skip it, as it doesn’t significantly boost combat performance.
4. Power Growth Summary
If you’re wondering how much stronger these systems can make you — here’s a quick look based on TapScreen Gaming’s results:
| Progress Type | Approx. Power Gain |
|---|---|
| Mentor/Apprentice Rewards | 50k–100k Power |
| Vessel Level 50 | +300k Power |
| Vessel Level 75+ | +500k–800k Power |
| Glyph Optimization | +5–10% global damage |
These systems stack with your existing builds — meaning your DPS, Crits, and Skill Scaling benefit directly from every upgrade.
5. Daily Optimization Tips
- Log in daily and complete Vessel Quests for Soul Sparks.
- Mentor others or be an apprentice for passive Magiaite and coins.
- Save your Auction Currency for rare promotion materials like the Asia Plume Pendant.
- Upgrade Damage Boost Glyphs first — they’re the most cost-efficient early on.
- Don’t neglect daily World Treasure missions — they now contain extra Vessel materials.
Both the Mentor and Vessel Systems are essential if you’re planning to stay competitive in Legend of Elements.
