Last War T11 Troop Types – Armored Trooper or Assault Raider

With the arrival of T11 troops in Last War: Survival, players are given not just a new tier of power—but a strategic choice between two specialized unit types: Armored Trooper and Assault Raider. While both offer significant advantages over T10 units, their roles in battle are distinct.

This guide breaks down the differences, strengths, and optimal usage of each T11 troop variant so you can make the most out of your elite troops.

T11 Troop

T11 troops are an upgrade in every way compared to T10. They offer:

  • Higher Stats (Attack, Defense, HP)
  • Special Skills depending on the variant
  • Flexibility with a swap mechanic every 3 days
  • Synergy with Armament Research Stars for passive boosts

Once unlocked, you’ll train these troops in a level 35 Barrack, and every 3 days, you can switch between Armored Trooper and Assault Raider based on your needs.

T11 Variant 1: Armored Trooper

Armored Troopers are designed for survivability. Whether you’re defending in a PvP raid or holding strong in a Season War, these units are built to take a hit and keep going.

Special Ability: Battle Protection

  • Effect: Reduces the Severe Wound Rate by 5%
  • Mechanic: Severe Wounds require time and resources to heal, so reducing this not only preserves your army but also lowers your downtime between fights.

Best Uses:

  • Base Defense
  • Season War Defensive Roles
  • Garrison Reinforcement
  • Stronghold Occupation

Stat Increases Over T10:

Stat T10 Value T11 Value

T11 Variant 2: Assault Raider

Role: Offense-Oriented Unit

Assault Raiders focus on offensive pressure. If you’re pushing forward in PvP, rallying against other players, or trying to dominate a Blood Night Hunter event, this is your go-to.

Special Ability: Iron Will

  • Effect: Reduces the penalty for not being at full squad capacity by 10%
  • Mechanic: This is incredibly useful when you’re short on troops, deploying mixed squads, or facing attrition during a long campaign.

Best Uses:

  • Player-vs-Player Raids
  • Offensive Ops in Season War
  • Blood Night Hunter Events
  • Fast-Strike Skirmishes

Stat Increases Over T10:

Same base stat increases as Armored Troopers.

When to Swap T11 Troops

You can swap between Armored and Assault every 72 hours (3 days).

Tips for Timing Swaps:

  • Switch to Armored Trooper before a defensive alliance war or major PvP threat.
  • Switch to Assault Raider if you’re joining rallies, chasing leaderboard events, or going on the offensive.
  • Plan troop training around your chosen type. Don’t over-train one kind if a switch is due soon.

Star Bonuses Synergy

Your choice of troop should also align with your Armament Star Bonuses:

  • 1-Star: Ignores enemy “reduce damage taken” effects
  • 2-Star:
    • Armored: Counterattack when battle fails
    • Assault: Restore lightly wounded units on success
  • 3-Star: Increase Lethality
  • 4-Star:
    • Armored: Further reduce severe wound rate
    • Assault: Further reduce squad penalties when not at full size

TL;DR: Stars amplify your troop’s core advantage even further.

Choosing between Armored Troopers and Assault Raiders isn’t about which is stronger—it’s about which fits your role at the moment. Smart commanders will switch between the two based on battlefield demands and optimize their performance by matching troop type with troop strategy.
