Mecharashi Beginner Guide Wiki & Complete Walkthrough
Welcome, rookie pilots! Whether you’re just booting up Mecharashi for the first time or feeling overwhelmed by its deep systems, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know for your first week—from picking your starter to understanding drives, mechas, co-op missions, and more.
Mecharashi Beginner Guide Wiki & Complete Walkthrough
1. Choosing Your Starter Pilot: Freda vs Melissa
You’ll begin by picking one of four pilots. Meta or not, your best picks are:
- Freda – The best early-game raider and arguably the strongest boss-killer long-term. Her linked attacks (combo skills) carry you through tough stages fast.
- Melissa – The top PvE healer (still meta in the CN version). She can heal from long distances, which lets your DPS roam freely without babying her.
My Tip: If you’re F2P and want smoother progression, pick Freda. Damage opens doors to more stages faster. Melissa is still excellent, but less essential.
2. Rookie Banner – Target Twilight Funk
You’ll be given pulls on the Rookie Banner, which offers:
- Light Mechas – Aim for Twilight Funk, a CN-endorsed top-tier mecha for early-to-mid game.
- Medium Type (Bluebird) – Still great for sniper builds.
- Heavy Type – If you get this… sorry. Consider a reroll.
3. Ascension Basics – Pilot Growth System
Each pilot has 5 ascension levels:
- A1 – Adds 1 AP (action point); needed for pilots to act quickly in combat.
- A2 & A4 – Buffs skills.
- A3 – Unlocks passive talents.
- A5 – Adds another AP.
You’ll need 6 total copies of a pilot to fully max them out (Base + 5).
4. Skill Leveling – Don’t Waste Your Items
As you level up pilots, you unlock skills—but beware:
- There are rare items (from events or BP) to boost skill levels.
- F2P Warning: Don’t spend skill books blindly. Only invest if you’re confident that a pilot is worth it. Wait for community tier lists or updates before committing.
5. Focus on Story Missions First
Complete the story stages to unlock:
- Elite Battles – Give extra resources and achievements.
- Pilot Materials – Needed to enhance your characters.
6. Drives & Bolting – Deepest Part of the Game
This part gets tricky, so buckle up:
- Each pilot has 21 Drive Slots (7 Alpha, 7 Beta, 7 Gamma).
- You get Alpha & Beta slots free from the skill tree.
- Gamma slots require special items to unlock (VERY limited early).
Color-Coded Drive Types:
- Red – Offensive
- Yellow – Support
- Blue – Defensive
For DPS, always aim for 3 Red Alpha drives if possible for optimal stats.
Drive Icons Matter!
Each drive has specific boosts:
- Melee (e.g., swords, polearms)
- Ranged (e.g., sniper rifles, shotguns)
- Healer-specific (e.g., mechanical icons)
Understanding your pilot’s weapon type is key to slotting the right drives.
7. Where to Farm Drives: Simulated Battles
- Daily sweeps: 3x on weekdays, 5x on weekends.
- Progress through missions first to improve your chances of getting S-rank drives.
- You’ll need to beat Stage 35 to unlock 2-team formations, so pace yourself!
Start with Red Drives unless you’re building a tank or healer-focused setup.
8. Mecha & ST Weapons – Build Smarter, Not Harder
How to Get Rainbow Mechas:
- Pull 4 copies from banners to reach max rank.
- Do NOT merge parts blindly.
You need Level 1 parts for merging—reset them in the Workshop if needed.
Merging Guide:
- 2 parts = Rank 2
- Use maxed Rank 2 purple parts to jump to Rainbow Rank.
Pro Tip: Don’t merge two of the same Rainbow mechas early—use both instead. They’ll help in multiple teams and game modes.
9. Frontier Trials – Weapon Part Farming
- Each stage has hidden objectives for S-rank.
- Complete each stage 3 times with different teams:
- Mixed Type
- Light
- Medium
Skip heavy unless absolutely necessary.
10. Co-op Missions – Daily Must-Do
- Run co-op daily for premium currency and free parts.
- Focus on:
- Glacia Faction – Best early-game parts.
- Blazer Faction – Great for healers.
- Arsenal Faction – Supports Emily and other A-ranks.
11. Arena – Climb ASAP
- You fight AI, not players (for now).
- Rewards = premium currency + unlocks for weapon upgrades.
12. Endgame: Backpack Mode (Roguelike Content)
- Unlocks weekly; resets every Sunday.
- Permadeath mechanics: If a pilot dies mid-run, they’re gone.
- Healers and tanks are MVPs here.
- No need for 3-star clears; just survive!
13. Weekly Shops & Currency Tips
- Prioritize mecha parts over modules.
- Save special shop currency for bionic materials.
- Don’t waste weight backpacks—these are key for future endgame gear.
14. Should You Buy Energy (Stamina)?
Yes, early on. Buy at least 1–2 refills per day during launch week if you want to keep up. Events and achievements will help you refill without spending too much.
Your first week in Mecharashi will be packed, overwhelming, and sometimes frustrating—but incredibly rewarding if you plan ahead. Focus on building a strong base (Freda + Twilight Funk), be conservative with rare items, and always complete your dailies.
