Overgeared Hero Beach Event Dungeon 5 Guide
Beach Event Dungeon 5 is one of the easier stages in the Beach Event once you understand its main mechanic. Unlike earlier difficult stages, this dungeon revolves around completely shutting down the final boss’s healing. If you can reduce its healing enough, the rest of the fight becomes much more manageable.
Best Hero and Weapon
For this run, Talon (Archer) is an excellent choice thanks to his reliable ranged damage.
The recommended weapon is the Freeze Ray, which slows enemy attacks and gives you more time to build your inventory during the opening rounds. While other weapons can clear the stage, Freeze Ray offers one of the safest and most consistent strategies.
Main Strategy
The entire run is built around preparing for Round 12.
The final boss receives a 30% Healing Boost, making it nearly impossible to defeat unless you completely negate its healing.
Your goal is to reach at least 130% Healing Reduction before the final battle.
The easiest way to achieve this is by building:
- 2 Candlesticks + 2 Torches
- or 3 Candlesticks for even more healing reduction.
Once healing is completely disabled, the boss quickly loses health instead of constantly recovering it.
Early Game Priorities (Rounds 1-4)
During the opening rounds, avoid spending too many coins.
Instead, focus on building a balanced setup that includes:
- Strong damage
- Reliable healing
- Block
- Dodge
Since Freeze Ray slows enemy attacks, you can comfortably save coins while preparing your core items.
Start collecting Spears as early as possible because they are required to craft Candlesticks.
Build Candlesticks Quickly
A Candlestick is crafted using:
- Spear
- Torch
The earlier you complete your first Candlestick, the easier the remaining rounds become.
Don’t accidentally merge your Torch into another weapon, as this can delay your healing reduction strategy.
Don’t Ignore Poison Dust
Poison Dust is one of the most underrated low-cost items in the game.
It immediately applies multiple Poison stacks and deals impressive damage throughout long boss fights. Since it usually costs only one or two coins, it offers excellent value without taking much inventory space.
Use Spears Against High Block Enemies
Spears remain useful throughout the dungeon because they reduce enemy Block.
This makes fights against enemies like Darkan and the Ferocious Turtle much faster, allowing your damage to go through more consistently.
Best Support Items
Several defensive items greatly improve consistency during this stage.
The Fairy is one of the strongest support companions because it provides both healing and additional damage at the same time.
The Crow Amulet should be positioned so it touches all three of your primary weapons, maximizing the Dodge bonus across your build.
Leather Armor, Leather Boots, and Leather Helmet are all worthwhile defensive pickups that increase Block and Dodge, helping you survive the tougher rounds.
Activate the Correct Pets
Throughout the dungeon, keep the Center Pet and Left Pet activated whenever possible.
These pets provide enough support to make encounters like Darkan significantly easier.
Boulder Is Worth Building
If you obtain a Boulder, it’s worth adding to your build.
Although it slightly reduces weapon attack speed, it provides approximately a 50% damage increase, making it an excellent late-game damage multiplier.
Surviving Round 10
Round 10 can still be dangerous depending on item luck.
If you don’t find enough healing potions, expect the fight to be much closer than normal.
Creating a Large Potion greatly improves survivability, although the run can still be completed without one if your damage is high enough.
Round 11 Strategy
Round 11 is widely considered the hardest fight before the final boss.
The Fierce Alligator Snapping Turtle gains massive amounts of Block, so continue collecting Spears to reduce its defenses.
Adding more Block from defensive gear also helps survive its heavy attacks.
If you’re offered additional damage or another Bow instead of weaker utility items, it’s usually the better choice for this stage.
Final Boss (Round 12)
The final fight is against Dark Hand.
This boss becomes dangerous because of two mechanics working together.
Its Blood Axe grows stronger every time it loses around 15% of its health, while multiple Steak items continuously increase its healing by 10% each.
Without enough Healing Reduction, Dark Hand eventually heals faster than you can damage it, allowing the Blood Axe to scale until it can one-shot your character.
If you’ve successfully reached 130% or more Healing Reduction, Dark Hand loses almost all of its healing. Since many of its own items consume its health before attempting to heal it back, removing that healing causes its health bar to collapse rapidly, making the encounter surprisingly easy.
