Survivor.io Clan Exploration Guide – AFK Missions
The latest Survivor.io update completely reworks Clan Exploration, making it much less time-consuming than before. Instead of manually grinding a long list of missions, the new system focuses on AFK dispatch missions, allowing you to earn Clan Exploration points with just a few taps.
If you’re opening the feature for the first time after the update, it can feel a little confusing. Here’s everything you need to know about how the new Clan Exploration works and how to maximize your rewards.
Survivor.io Clan Exploration Guide – AFK Missions, Boss Battles
The biggest change is that the old mission system has been replaced by dispatch missions.
Instead of actively completing objectives yourself, you’ll assign survivors to exploration tasks. While they’re away, they’ll automatically earn Clan Exploration points for your clan.
Overall, the update significantly reduces the amount of daily grinding while still encouraging players to check in throughout the day.
How AFK Dispatch Missions Work
Every day, you’ll receive exploration missions that require you to send one of your survivors.
Once assigned, the survivor begins an AFK mission.
After the timer finishes:
- You’ll receive Clan Exploration points.
- Your clan’s overall exploration progress increases.
- You’ll be one step closer to unlocking the Exploration Boss.
The process is simple, but choosing the right survivor makes a noticeable difference.
Choose the Recommended Survivor
Each mission recommends a specific survivor trait.
For example, some missions may favor:
- Bald survivors
- Long-haired survivors
- Other survivor characteristics
Matching the recommended survivor reduces the dispatch duration.
Dispatch Time Bonus
Using the correct survivor shortens the mission time by 15%.
It may not sound like much initially, but over multiple missions each day, the time savings add up and allow you to complete more dispatches.
Whenever possible, check the mission requirements before sending a survivor.
Daily Mission Limits
There are two important restrictions to keep in mind.
Each Survivor Can Only Be Used Once Per Day
After assigning a survivor to a mission, they can’t be dispatched again until the daily reset.
This means you’ll need multiple survivors if you want to stay active throughout the day.
Maximum of Four Active Missions
You can have up to four dispatch missions running simultaneously.
Once one finishes, simply collect the rewards and send another survivor out.
Visit the Game Regularly
Although the new system is mostly AFK, you’ll still benefit from checking in several times each day.
Why?
Completed dispatches don’t automatically restart.
If you leave finished missions sitting for hours, you’re losing potential exploration points that could have been earned by starting another dispatch.
Even a quick login every few hours helps maximize your contribution.
How to Unlock the Exploration Boss
As your clan completes enough dispatch missions, the Exploration Boss becomes available.
Once unlocked, every eligible clan member can challenge it.
Unlike previous Clan Exploration mechanics, there isn’t much pressure to get the perfect attempt immediately.
You Can Retry Boss Battles
One of the best quality-of-life improvements is unlimited practice attempts.
If your first run goes badly—for example:
- You forgot to change equipment.
- You equipped the wrong pet.
- You used the wrong skill setup.
You can simply fight again.
Only your highest damage result is counted.
This removes a lot of stress compared to older systems where one mistake could permanently hurt your score.
Clan Ranking and Medal Rewards
Your clan earns medals based on overall performance.
Generally speaking:
- Higher total damage
- Better boss performance
- More completed exploration progress
all contribute toward earning better rewards.
The stronger your clan performs collectively, the better everyone’s rewards become.
Only the Top 25 Players Count
One important rule many players overlook is that only the top 25 contributors are counted when calculating clan results.
If you’re part of a large, active clan, it’s worth participating consistently so your contribution stays among the highest performers.
Otherwise, your score may not count toward the clan’s final ranking.
Practice Rewards Explained
The update also introduces Practice Rewards.
These rewards improve as your Practice Level increases.
While the current update doesn’t reveal every level or reward tier yet, the system appears to scale over time, giving better rewards as your clan continues progressing.
Expect additional levels and rewards to be added in future updates.
