If you’ve been grinding through Wittle Defender, you already know that boss fights can be brutal. Some bosses one-shot your frontline, others summon waves of adds that overwhelm your defenses. And by the time you hit Star Challenges, things escalate fast.
But here’s the thing—I found a Wittle Defender Boss Guide that makes a massive difference, especially in Chapters 8–15 and beyond. It’s not a glitch. It’s not a bug. It’s just smart unit usage.

Wittle Defender Boss Guide & Chapter Boss List (1–50)
The Ice Demon Trick
Use summoning heroes like Ice Demon, Void Witch, or Archer to distract and delay bosses, giving your main units room to breathe.
How It Works:
Ice Demon summons Trolls and Frostbears.
These summoned units act like mobile tanks—so bosses stop to attack them instead of steamrolling your lineup.
The Frostbears are especially useful because they freeze enemies on contact. This can interrupt boss animations or delay their attacks.
“Thanks to Frostbear, the Skeleton Soldier didn’t even touch my heroes.”
Other Units That Work:
- Void Witch: Summons shadow minions. Not as durable, but can distract briefly.
- Archer: Spawns extra archers to intercept damage.
- Inferno Lord: Has Pyro Servants that can help, but timing is more tricky since some bosses pierce through them.
Best Situations To Use This Trick

How To Build Around Ice Demon
If you’re serious about using this trick, build your team synergy around the Ice Demon:
- Upgrade Priority: Max out summon skill first, then boost cooldown reduction and HP of summons
- Support Units: Use healers and buffers (e.g., Light Priestess or Elf Bard) to sustain long fights
- Positioning Tip: Place Ice Demon front-center to make sure his summons trigger early
Limitations of the Trick
- Some bosses have AOE skills that still hurt backline even if distracted
- Doesn’t work well on ranged or teleporting bosses
