Editor’s Note: Before you go and pick one ability based on this tier list, a friendly heads-up: nobody has got the monopoly on abilities’ wisdom, least of all me. This list is just one opinion, mixed with a bit of experience and speculation.
SS Tier Abilities
- Demon Seed — Each strike inflicts Vulnerable on the target. If Crit is triggered, it deals 50% extra damage and removes the Vulnerable effect.
- Demon Flame — When Stunning an enemy or attacking a Stunned enemy, triggers the accumulated Burn Dmg and increases it by 20%.
- Flame Circle — Launch a Strike of 160% ATK and burn the enemy. Deals damage equal to 50% ATK every time for 2 round(s).
- Clone — Launch a strike of 160%(+9%) ATK and Combo is increased by 50% in the next round.
- Sentinel Fur — Launches a strike of 140% ATK, with a 25% chance to order your beast to release its skill once. Once released the beast’s skill will enter a cooldown.
- Transform — Launches a strike of 220% ATK and recovers 3000 Qi.

S Tier Abilities
- Divine Halo — Launch a strike of 120% ATK. If the enemy’s current HP is below 20%, damage is increased to 600% of ATK.
- Binding — Launch a strike of 140%(+9%) ATK and the enemy’s Qi is reduced by 4000.
- Soul Swallow — Each strike has a 25% chance to trigger this effect, increasing your ATK by 16% for 3 round(s).
- Dust Devil — Launches a strike of 160%(+9%) ATK and increases Dodge by 50% in the next round.
- Permafrost — Launch a Strike of 160% ATK and freeze the enemies until the next round.
- Condense — Launches a strike of 160% ATK and reduces the enemy’s Crit Dmg by 20% for 2 round(s).
- Thorn — Rebounds 15% damage on the enemy when attacked.
- Undying — Triggered when HP first drops below 30%, increasing your chance of Lifesteal by 50%, lasting until the battle ends.
- Infiltration — When dealing damage to the target, there’s a 10%(+1%) chance to deal 2X Dmg and a 3%(+0.3%) chance to deal 3X Dmg.
- Primal Might — Every strike taken enhances the Beast by 3% (stackable up to 10x), lasting until the next Beast action.
- Elusive — When the round begins, all damage taken is reduced by 20% for 3 round(s).
- Soul Unison — Gain 15% Beast after every counter attack for 2 round(s).
- Iron Body — When HP drops below 30%, Damage dealt each time is no higher than 8% of your Max HP for 3 round(s).
- Giant’s Might — Launch a strike of 160% ATK, increasing Crit and Crit Dmg by 2% and 30% respectively for 3 round(s).
- Recycle — When Combo is triggered, recovers HP equal to 16% of the damage dealt and increases Qi by 300.

A Tier Abilities
- 3 Head, 6 Arms — When the round begins, increases Crit by 10% and Crit Dmg by 25% for 3 round(s).
- Thunderbolt — Launch a strike of 160%(+8%) ATK and Crit Dmg is increased by 25% for 2 round(s).
- Energize — Qi is increased by 800 additionally at the beginning of every round.
- Heartfire — When dealing damage on the target, there’s a 20% chance to Burn the target, inflicting 20% extra damage per round for 3 round(s).
- Soul Drain — 800 Qi of the target is deducted when attacking the enemy.
- Shadow Fiend — ATK is increased by 2.5%(+0.2%) every time after being hit (up to 5 stacks) until the battle ends.
- Ghost Strike — When dealing damage to the target, the target suffers damage equals to 5% of their Max HP if they manage to dodge the strike.
- Kylin Arm — TK +10% when HP is lower than 20%.
- Healing Lotus — When taking damage, there’s a 30% chance to restore HP equal to 30%(+3%) of the Dmg taken.
- Sting — When counterattacking, deals extra damage equal to 30% ATK.
- Allure — When dodging, there’s a 10%(+1%) chance to Stun the enemy for 2 round(s).
- Flight — Increases AGL by 10%(+1%) when the battle begins.
- Ironclad — Final damage resistance is increased by 5%(+0.5%) when the battle begins.
- Soulbending — When triggering the Crit effect, each strike recovers HP equal to 10% ATK and increases Crit Dmg by 20% for 2 round(s).
- Pierce — When dealing damage to the target, reduce the target’s DEF by 8%(+0.7%) for 2 round(s).
- Frost Breath — After every 3 round(s), the next time the Beast releases a skill, there’s a 20% chance to Freeze the enemy, lasting until the next round.

B Tier Abilities
- Longevity — Restore 3%(+0.3%) of the HP lost at the beginning of every round.
- Awaken — After your Beast’s action, increases your Lifesteal by 20% and Heal by 10% for 2 round(s).
- Samahdi Fire — Launch a strike of 120% ATK and burn the enemy. Deals damage equal to 30% ATK every time for 3 round(s).
- Soulquake — When casting Tao, increases damage by 20%, with a 50% higher chance to Stun the enemy for 2 round(s).
- Wolf Howl — Every time the Beast releases a skill, it recovers 1400 extra Qi.
- Affinity — After each strike of the Beast, the owner recovers 5% Max HP and increases ATK by 10% for 2 round(s).
- Umbra — After the Beast’s first skill release, it gains 12% combo and Combo Res, while removing an equal amount of attributes from the enemy, lasting until the battle ends.
- Rending — Your beast’s attacks will reduce the target’s Healing by 24% for 2 round(s).
- Reanimation — When you die, your Beast revives you and restores 12% HP for you. This effect can only take effect once per battle. (only one of the revival effects from Genies or Abilities can take effect.)
- Lion’s Roar — Your beast’s attack will reduce all combat attributes of the target by 24% for 2 round(s).
- Menace — The first strike of each Beast deals 20% extra damage; healing effects remain unaffected.
- Mind Spike — When dealing damage to the target, inflict 2%(+0.2%) extra bleeding Dmg per round until the battle ends.
- Devour Souls — Launches a strike of 130% ATK and recovers HP equal to 60% of your ATK.
- Leverage — Launch a strike of 130%(+8%) ATK and ATK is increased by 20% for 2 round(s).

C Tier Abilities
- Pyro Venom — When the Beast releases a skill, there’s a 35% chance to Burn the enemy, dealing 28% extra damage every round for 3 round(s).
- Radiate — When your Beast releases the skill for the first time, you recover 14% HP and become immune to Burn and Freeze for 4 round(s).
- Shura Stance — When the round begins, steals 8% AGL and 8% ATK from the enemy for 5 round(s).
- Golden Aura — Recover HP equal to 130% of your ATK and gain 20% FInal Dmg resistance until the next round ends.
- Mantra: Heal — Recovers HP equal to 110% of your ATK and then restores HP equal to 20% of your ATK per round for 3 round(s).
- Morning Crow — When your beast releases the skill, the enemy’s Crit Res and Lifesteal Res are reduced by 14% for 2 round(s).
- Trample — When the Beast attacks an enemy with a debuff, it reduces their Final Dmg by 10%(+0.5%), lasting for 2 round(s).
- Ambush — Deal extra damage equal to 22%(+2%) ATK when beasts release the skill.
- Disruption — When the beast releases the skill, the owner’s Combo Res is increased by 45%(+4%) for 2 round(s).
- Revitalise — From Round 4, the next time the Beast releases the skill, it heals its owner once, restoring 20%(+2%) of the HP lost.
- High Leap — After your Beast’s action, increases your AGL by 4%(+0.4%), stackable and lasting until the battle ends.
- Resonance — Damage dealt of the beast deployed is increased by 8%(+0.8%).
- Lick Wounds — Healing of the beast deployed is increased by 8%(+0.8%).
- Soul Rend — Increases your Lifesteal by 10%; when attacking, consumes 10% of your current HP to reduce the enemy’s HP by the same amount, up to a max of your 150% ATK.
- Projection — Gain 10% Beast skill for each strike until the next round ends.
- Augment — Increases your CATK by 10% for 2 round(s) after your Counterattack hits the target.
- Cleanse — When suffering debuffs, there’s a 30% chance to recover HP equal to 5%(+0.5%) of the HP lost when under attack.
- Rockfall — Launches a strike of 130%(+8%) ATK, with a 30% chance to Stun the target for 1 round(s).
- Rebirth — Recover HP equal to 105%(+5%) of your ATK and DEF is increased by 10% for 2 round(s)
D Tier Abilities
- Power Steal — Each strike steals 2%(+0.1%) ATK from the target (stackable up to 5 times), lasting until the battle ends.
- Spirit Link — Each strike inflicts damage equal to 3%(+0.3%) of the target’s current HP. Does not work for bosses.
- Elemental Heal — Recovers 20% of the HP lost and increases Heal by 30% for 2 round(s).
- Soul Rip — Strikes can increase your Stun by 3%(+0.3%) (stackable up to 5x), lasting until the battle ends.
- Soul Shriek — When dealing damage to the target, reduce the target’s ATK by 8%(+0.7%) for 2 round(s).
- True Sight — When you dodge, increases your Crit Rate by 20% for 3 round(s).
