S Tier

Here you’ll find the absolute best heroes in the game. These heroes are all-rounders who excel in everything from damage output to survivability.

I’ve had a lot of success with Cao Cao, Lu Bu, and Zhuge Liang. Cao Cao is a powerful DPS with great survivability, Lu Bu has high attack and critical strike chance, and Zhuge Liang is a flexible support hero with powerful crowd control abilities.

Zhuge Liang: An adaptable support hero with powerful crowd control abilities.
Sun Quan: A balanced hero with good damage output and healing abilities.

A Tier

It is home to the more specialized heroes. These guys may not be as well-rounded as the S Tier heroes, but they excel in one particular area.

For example, I’ve mainly used Liu Bei as a healer and Sun Shangxiang as a leading DPS.

Guan Yu: A tanky hero with high defense and crowd control abilities.
Diaochan: A powerful support hero with great crowd control skills.
Zhang Fei: A tanky hero with high attack and solid defensive skills.
Huang Zhong: A dominant DPS with long range attacks.
Zhao Yun: Flexible hero with good damage output and mobility.

B Tier

This is where you’ll find the more balanced heroes. These guys aren’t the best at anything, but they’re also not the worst. They’re a good choice for players who are just starting out or who don’t want to commit to a specific strategy.

I’ve had minor success with Zhang Fei and Zhao Yun as flexible options with good mobility.

Sun Shangxiang: A decent attacker having very high attacking pace.
Yueying: A versatile support hero with decent healing abilities.
Taishi Ci: A powerful damage dealer with high critical strike chance.
Lu Meng: Tanky hero with average crowd control skills.
Dong Zhuo: A solid DPS with high attack and defense.

C Tier

You’ll find the heroes who are a bit more situational in this tier. These heroes may be good in certain situations, but they’re not reliable enough to be used in every battle.

I haven’t had much success with these heroes, but I’ve heard that they can be good in certain team compositions.

Jia Xu: A support hero with good healing and crowd control abilities.
Xu Chu: Tanky hero with good attack and defense.
Zhang Liao: A versatile hero with good damage output and crowd control abilities.
Gan Ning: Good DPS with high attack speed.
Zhou Yu: Support hero with good healing and crowd control abilities.

D Tier

Here you’ll find the heroes who are just not very good. These guys are best avoided unless you’re really desperate. I haven’t tried any of these heroes, but I would recommend staying away from them.
