NIKKE Surpasses Over $400 Million in Global Revenue in 2023

In November 2022, a popular game called Goddess of Victory: NIKKE was released and quickly became a hit among players. The game features battles using guns and special abilities, and it gained worldwide recognition for its impressive graphics and advanced technology.

According to Sensor Tower, the mobile version of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE has made an incredible $400 million in revenue from November 2022 to May 2023.

Japan, United States, & South Korea Leading Market

Japan is the game’s biggest market, contributing almost 60% of the revenue. The United States follows with 15%, and South Korea comes in third with 13%.

Japan leads globally in downloads with 23% of the total, closely followed by the United States with 14%. With 11%, Thailand is in third place. This suggests that Japan effectively monetizes the game.

Even in Japan, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is a huge success. It ranks fifth in mobile game revenue from November 2022 to May 2023. It is the only game from a foreign company among the popular Japanese games like Monster Strike and Uma Musume Pretty Derby.

Among Japanese team-based role-playing games, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is the second highest in terms of revenue, with Uma Musume Pretty Derby in first place and Blue Archive in third. The game’s revenue is more than double that of Blue Archive, showing its exceptional performance.

The game continues to generate revenue through collaborations and updates. For example, during a collaboration with the TV anime Chainsaw Man, the game reached third place in Japan’s top revenue ranking. A similar trend happened with the Half Anniversary Update, which boosted the game from 19th to 2nd place.

Even though Japan is the game’s biggest market, each nation has its own distinctive characteristics. Most American players are between the ages of 18 and 24. Over 50% of users in South Korea are players between the ages of 25 and 34.

In Korea, the male to female player ratio is 6:4, whereas it is 7:3 in Japan, the US, and Korea. The 25-34 age group makes up the majority of players in Japan, followed by the 35-44 age group.

The success of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE shows its ability to engage players worldwide with its exciting gameplay, great graphics, and regular updates. The game isn’t showing any signs of slowing down owing to its expanding revenue and devoted fan base.
